[NOT EDITED]
After weeks of healing, Blake was finally able to walk again and all of us were happy, mostly because we'd finally be able to go on the trip we planned.
At this very moment, we were all at Blake's house, preparing for the trip we had tomorrow. We were all exhausted, since we had to fill up three cars with all our stuff. We planned to buy the food once we were there, but Aria and I were going to prepare something to eat in the morning, so the boys don't starve to death.
“Do we get to jump over fences and smash people's cars?” I asked excitedly, earning a scared look from Asher.
“I swear, this bitch should start street fighting or something. It's like you're hungry for weird stuff,” he said as if I were crazy and I rolled my eyes.
“Whatever, Asher. Whatever,” I laughed and walked to my bag.
I pulled the zip open and double checked if I had everything. Suddenly I felt a presence behind me, but before I could turn around, I heard his voice.
“Did you take your pills?” he asked, making my eyes go wide.
I started rummaging through my bag, looking for my pills, but not finding them anywhere. I started to feel anxious. How could I forget my own fucking pills?
A hand appeared in front of me, holding my small bottle filled with pills. I looked up at Archer, breathing heavily.
“Don't worry,” he threw it in my bag, “Jake gave it to me.”
I looked at my pills and then back at him, “Thank you...”
“Fuck you too.” he nodded and walked off.
I breathed out in relief, grateful for both Jake and Archer. I didn't know what I'd do without these pills. I closed my bag and walked back to the others.
“Guys!” Blake called, “Don't forget, we still have a few things to take care of, so don't sleep like a pig, okay?” he shot Asher a certain look.
“Yup, got it,” Asher smiled back innocently.
I breathed out shakily, “Guys, I feel like we're forgetting something...” I frowned.
“Tris, we checked everything. We're not forgetting anything,” Cody shot me a slight nod.
I nodded back reluctantly and sat down on the mattress on the floor. We put three mattresses on the floor along with our pillows and blankets. I lied down and pulled the blanket over myself.
I was feeling nervous, yet excited for tomorrow. I couldn't wait to finally have some adventure and hopefully have someone to hit without being the one who's wrong, of course.
I closed my eyes, hearing he others talk in the background. Everything felt so odd, so hazy. I finally, with great difficulty, found myself drifting to sleep.
“Tris! Wake up! We have to get the food ready!” I felt someone tapping my shoulder.
I slowly opened my eyes, turning around and looked at Aria. She smiled at me, “I'll be right there,” I said in a hoarse voice.
“Good. I'm in the kitchen.” she whispered and walked out of the living room.
I yawned and turned around again, hugging my pillow. Wait, it didn't feel as soft as a pillow. I frowned as I opened my eyes and nearly screamed when I saw a chest instead of my soft pillow. That's when I even noticed the arm that was wrapped around my waist, with his hand resting on my hip. I looked up at the person whose chest nearly made me scream and my eyes grew wide when I saw Archer sleeping soundly. I didn't think I would be able to get out without waking him up. I may hate him, but I knew he was exhausted and I didn't want to wake him up.
How did he even end up here? He was sleeping on the other side!
I groaned lowly, trying to move and get up, but the fear of waking him up stopped me every time. I took hold of his wrist and slowly placed his hand on the mattress, so his arm was no longer around my waist. I breathed out in relief and slowly got up from the bed.
The boys were all still sleeping. They were all honestly just sleeping like pigs. I shook my head with a sly smile on my face and walked off to the kitchen, where Aria was already cutting onions and all.
“So, what are you planning on making for the road?” I asked as I started tying my hair in a tight ponytail.
“Well, Archer and Blake are going to be the ones cooking once we get there, so we just have to keep it at something simple,” Aria nodded at me.
“Well, we could do with some pancakes,” I grinned and Aria nodded.
“Yeah, pancakes sounds good. Though, we need something else, because we have to keep in mind that our boys, specifically Asher and Blake, are pigs,” Aria said, making me giggle.
“Damn right,” I turned on the stove.
I then filled the kettle and made it heat afterwards. I sighed and leaned against the counter, “What are the onions for?”
“Blake asked me. He doesn't like cutting onions, so he asks me to do it,” she smiled as she filled a small plastic container with the onions she just cut.
I placed a pan on the stove and waited for Aria to finish mixing the pancakes. Once she was done, I started making the pancakes and we just started talking. It had been a while since the two of us got some time alone, it it honestly felt nice to just talk with her without having the guys around.
“So, what was up with you and Archer?” she suddenly asked and I chuckled.
“Don't you dare. You know that fucker was sleeping on the other side. I have no idea how the hell he ended up next to me,” I shrugged and took out the pancake, making another one afterwards. “What's up with you and Blake?” I looked at her and sighed.
“Blake and I... We're just friends...” she sighed.
“But why?” I raised my eyebrow at her, “He likes you, you like him, what's the problem?”
Aria smiled weakly, “He's been through a lot. Doesn't really have a good experience with relationships.”
I nodded, “I see,” I looked up at her.
She was about to say something, but then Asher walked into the room, yawning like a gorilla.
“I swear, this guy...” Aria giggled.
Asher walked over to us and rested his head on my shoulder, “I killed you in my dream,” he said casually.
I shot him a blunt look, “Thank you, Asher. You did me a huge favor by killing me.”
“Whatever,” he poked my head, “You guys better hurry. We're leaving in a few.”
