Chapter 5~ Lydia's pov.
Gosh, I can't believe the events of today. It has been so hard to cope with, I just hope everything turns out alright. I keep hearing Charlie and Leo talking about something happening on Friday. It would be good if they told me what was going on, so I could support them, but they won't tell me. It is so annoying, I love them so much but I feel like they are hiding something that could be life changing for all of us. The car jolts to a stop.
"Come on sweetie, let's get inside. Is there anyone you want with you?" She says. I don't really care, as long as that idiot gets in prison. That's all I care about. I won't take anyone in because then I can tell them everything that happened without Charlie or Leo being shocked. I get out the car and walk in. Charlie and Leo follow behind.
"I hope Friday goes well." Leo whispers to Charlie.
"It will mate, just stop talking about it. It is meant to be a surprise and if you keep talking about it she will hear." Charlie replies. They are planning a surprise for me on Friday. I assume it is for me because the only other female here is the police lady.
"Damn you with your smart words." Leo giggles trying to be angry at him.
"So love, are you going to bring anyone in the room while I interview you?" The police woman asks.
"No thank you, I don't really want anyone else in there." I reply. Leo and Charlie hear and Leo's face drops.
"Are you sure Lydia?" Leo asks me.
"Yeah I'm sure." I say. He nods and the police lady takes me to a small room while the receptionist takes Leo and Charlie to the waiting room. As we walked in the room, I looked at my surroundings. There was a light grey carpet, dark grey walls, a large table with a recording thing on it (I have no clue what they are), there is 4 plastic chairs (they look very uncomfortable). This is gonna be a long interview.
"Take a seat, please." The police lady said. I sat down. The lady pressed a button on the recording thing. "This is 10:03pm on Wednesday the 5th of January. I am Juli Nickelops. Here with Lydia Ghergis who is said to have been sexually assaulted by Mr Kyle Ghergis. Where were you at the time of assault?" The police lady said.
"I was in the park and it was 9:07." I replied. Then the interview dragged on until about 10:30pm and it was so boring. I could answer all the questions. It wasn't that hard. Then I went to the waiting room where my mum was waiting for me.
"Lydia, darling are you ok?" Mum asks. I nod and she hugs me.
"Yeah. I'm glad it's over for now." I say trying not to cry.
"You can cry all you want love. Also what do you mean for now?" Mum replies. I let all the tears out.
"They will do a court case and he will plead 'not guilty'. I just know it. He will come back before you know it and we will be stuck with him abusing us." I say crying. Mum then leads us to the car.
Leo's pov
Lydia had been in the room for about 10 minutes when her mum came. She was looking so worried.
"I can't believe this happened. I thought it would stop after Lydia came about but no. He carried on. It is just disgusting thinking about him doing it to his own daughter. I need a divorce. Oh boys, I hope everything is ok." She says to me and Charlie. What is she on about? What would stop after Lydia came about? He carried on what? She's gonna get divorced? Ok I need to chill. She is probably talking about Lydia's dad and what happened in the park. I can't let this stress me out. I'm going on BGT on Friday and that is 2 days. I am so scared about meeting the judges especially David, he is just so funny and I love his books. Then there is Simon, the hard-to-please judge and he is such a good judge. Next is Alesha, god she is so pretty and also she is very caring with her daughter Azura. Finally there is Amanda, she is pretty and also very funny and I love how she is so kind. I hope they are pleased by me and Charlie, or should I say Bars and Melody. Our song has so much meaning in it. It's called 'Hopeful'. We wrote it. Finally Lydia comes out. Her mum runs over to her. Then they talk for a bit and then decide to tell me and Charlie to come to the car with them. I hope Lydia is ok. We sit in the car. All is silent for a bit.
"So guys, you doing anything interesting at school? I heard there was some art project." Lydia's mum asks. Oh yeah now come to think of it we have to do an art project. Yay fun.
"Oh yeah I forgot about the project." Lydia says hoping she wasn't the only one who forgot.
"Yeah me too. I totally forgot about art." I giggle. Only because my giggles cheer Lydia up. She told me that one night when we played truth or dare at my house.
**Flashback**
"It's your turn Lydia, Truth or Dare?" I ask because it was just my turn and Charlie was before me and Skye was before him.
"Oh, erm, Truth?" She says, more of a question than a statement.
"Ok, what cheers you up the most? Remember you have to say the truth." I ask giggling like a mad man.
"When you giggle like you just did." She smiles. Charlie laughs and Skye just grins. I feel so happy. My giggles cheer her up.
**End of flash back**
I still remember what cheers her up. As soon as I giggle she smiles. I just hope things go ok from now on.
