Chapter 2 ~ Charlie's pov
I can't actually believe Skye. When she told me she was going she actually laughed when I started crying and saying that I would miss her. Of course I would miss her. She is my life. I love her so much and have helped her through her parents divorce. I am so nervous about Friday though and should we really not tell Lydia. Basically Leo is being bullied. So I thought we could make a song because he likes rapping and I like singing. He then said we should go on Britain's got talent. Our parents said it was a great idea as we were so talented and best friends. But he is refusing to let me tell Lydia incase we fail. He likes her a lot and really wants to impress her but he is scared of her finding out. I love our song it's so meaningful. I hope the judges like it. I mean I would love to meet the judges. Anyway Leo hasn't even told Lydia he is being bullied. I love Leo but I hope he tells Lydia that he's being bullied.
Lydia's pov
I hope Charlie is ok. He has just stopped crying. I feel nervous about tonight as I am going to the disco. Then at 8:55 I'm sneaking out of the disco and going to the park. I am so worried about the park bit though. What if it is like a killer or something terrible. I don't really know if I should go but I will go. Leo can't know about it though. I don't want him worrying and panicking. The day goes by so quickly and finally it's hometime. I run in the house and hear my mum telling Jamie to pick up  his toys. My dads not home yet. Mum comes in the kitchen.
"They are on your bed!" She says before going in the garden to tidy the playhouse. What are on my bed? What is mum in such a rush for? I decide to go upstairs and have a shower. When I look at my bed there is a knee length royal blue dress.

It is so pretty. My mum is the best. I strip down and hop in the warm water. The water trickles down my back and makes me feel so relaxed. I have a quick shower and then put my dress on. I use the hair dryer and put on some make up. I then curl my hair. I put on my favourite necklace that Leo gave me. I then find a bag on my bed. It has the most beautiful glass effect high heels in it. They remind me of the glass slippers in Cinderella. I love them. This is gonna be the best disco. I slowly walk down the stairs.
"Darling you look beautiful!" Mum shouts in awe. My mum is literally the best. Dad comes home.
"Hello. Why you wearing this tatty old thing? You are 13 you are wearing something that a 21 year old wears. It makes you look like a wannabe. Go and change now!" He shouted. It was sitting at the length of my knees. It was brand new. I don't want to change. I thought it looked nice. I took my heels off and ran upstairs. Mum followed me.
"Love don't listen to your father. He is clearly drunk again. The dress makes you look very beautiful and it is knee length and it is brand new." Mum said being truthful. I don't know how I got so lucky with my mother. I hug mum and smile. I then go downstairs and put on my heels then go outside. I see Leo and his mum in their car. Leo looks stunning like usual. I smile at him.
"Wow you look preettttyyy..." Leo says smiling back at me.
"Hmmm... you don't look too bad yourself." I laugh. His mum laughs. I get into the car. On the journey to the school, I look out the window and watch the sunset. It is the perfect night to have a disco. We then arrive at the disco and say bye to Leo's mum. Leo takes my hand and walks me into the building. The music is playing and look who's the DJ.
"Oi Leeeeeeeoooooo! Look at the DJ!" I shout over the music. He looks and laughs.
"Wow he must have been desperate to come to a year 9 disco. He's a loser!" Leo laughs. "I'll grab food and drinks he says!" He walks off, leaving me on my own. I run over to Charlie.
"Can you put...." I whisper, then point at a song,"that one on at 8:00." He nods and I run off laughing. Leo comes over to me with the food and drink. He picked burger and chips and a 2 straw slush puppy. He knows me too well. I pick up the burger and take a bite. He laughs at me and moves towards me and takes a bite out the other side. Anyone walking past right now would think we were a couple but we always do this so it is normal to me. Then I grab a chip and eat it. Then he eats a chip. Then Leo grabs a chip and feeds me so I feed him. We feed each other chips until they are all gone. By this time it is about 7:15. We grab the slush puppy and take a straw each. We both sip at the same time. I love this boy so much, he is the best friend in the entire world. Then we get up and dance for a while. We keep dancing and laughing at each other. Then it turns 8:00. The song comes on and everyone grabs their friend or partner. They start dancing slow dances. I'm excited about this moment. My phone buzzes but I ignore it, I can't let my phone ruin the moment. I hear Charlie's phone go off. I look at him he looks worried. Oh god. I hope I can do this before Charlie gets mad.
"Leo I have been plucking the courage for about five months now and I have finally got the courage. I have grown so close to you and you are my lifesaver. I love you with my whole heart. And I wondered if you would be my Boyfriend?" I say. I'm scared about his answer. He just leans in and kisses me.
"I hope this answers your question." He whispers softly into my lips.
