27- Not all demons are bad (Part one)

Demons... it was drilled into your head that they're bad, you used to believe it too until you met Mike, a demon of high ranking.

"I'm a demon." Mike had said the first day you met him. You were surprised how blunt he was towards you.

"Well that was blunt. Normally I have to wait til people try to kill me to figure out that they're a demon." You replied with a smile. "To be fair, I'll tell you what I am. I'm a hunter."

"I know, and trust me I have no plans to kill you as long as you don't kill me."

"Fair enough." That was the start of a very interesting friendship.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." You growl. You had been captured by a demon and well by the looks of things it wanted to torture you.

"Why do you say that Winchester?" The demon sneers.

"Because of me." Mike says walking out of the shadows. You manage to smile. The demon holding you captive pales dramatically. "If you'd be so kind and let my friend go." The demon hastily does so muttering its apologies.

"Thanks Mike." You say. "I owe you one."

"No you owe me five." Your demon friend snarks. You laugh.

"You have a point... want me to help you take care of this son of a bitch?" Mike's turn to laugh.

"I got it, but next time I save your life; I'll require your help."

"Yes sir." You say mocking a salute. "See you around Mike."

"Later Y/N." With that you take your leave. When you get back to the bunker, your brother are surprised that you're back by the time you said you would be and you're unscathed.

"Don't look at me in that tone of voice." You say. "Not every solo hunt I go on I get captured and tortured."

"Yeah, but most of them." Sam points out.

"Besides I ran into a friend of mine, apparently they were working the same case."

"You have a friend that is a hunter?" Dean asks clearly shocked. You mentally correct your brother.

"And the bad thing is?"

"Nothing, just surprised that's all."

"Sure." You sarcastically reply. You then head to your room. Just because you can, you pull out your phone and send: "As something random how fast would you kill someone if they dumped holy water on you?" to Mike. His response makes you laugh.

M- Now Y/n it's not how fast you should ask. It's how long the torture is until I allow them to die.

You- true :D another oddball question– do you prefer torturing demons or humans?

M- Humans because I don't have to try as hard to make them feel pain.

You- Makes sense kinda... what if the human was possessed by a demon?

M- Then I'd torture the human (since they're conscious during the possession) then torture the demon in hell after the human dies. The best part is the demon knows what's coming so it's even more torture mentally while they think of the pain I bring to their actual bodies.

You- Even for a demon that's dark Mike.

Mike just sends you some demon face emojis. You roll your eyes. You and Mike then get on the topic of getting to hell. Once again Mike's response makes you laugh- I mean I prefer the stairs, but hey to each their own.

You- 😉 Thanks for the tip.

M- Now all you have to do is find the stairs.

You- If I can't find them I'll possibly take the highway.

M- The problem is the elevator to hell is literally after a flight of stairs and on the highway you break down half-way.

You- And the stairs are hard to find.

M- Only from the top.

You- Well you live in hell so you can almost always find them!

M- True.

Sam and Dean don't meet Mike until the three of you run into him on a group hunt. You roll your eyes when you see him. "Hi Mike." You say.

"Hey." Mike replies. "We need to stop running into each other like this."

"Yeah, this is the seventh to eighth time that the two of us have run into each other on a hunt." Mike laughs.

"More like the tenth to eleventh time... this is the first time that I've run into you when you're on a hunt with your brothers." After a few hours Mike pulls you to the side, away from Sam and Dean. "I think that it would be better for me to leave." He says.

"You're afraid of what will happen if they find out... aren't you?" You ask. Mike nods. "Mike, I'll stand by your decision but if you stay here I'll try my damnedest to make sure your cover isn't blown."

"Y/N, you have a good heart but sometimes it's in the wrong place..." Mike places a hand on your arm. "I'll come if you summon me... but it's too risky for me to be here."
