43- Cold Night New Family (part 2)

Previously: "They don't want me." You say with a sniffle. "No one wants me…"

When Sam asks what do you mean, you kind of shut down not wanting to talk to anyone. "We want to help you kid but we can't do that if you don't tell us." He says in a gentle tone.

You explain that your parents abandoned you. They promised that they would be back, but they never came back. You were left out on the streets, fending for yourself, for over a month.

"That won't happen to you ever again." Dean states as he sits down next you, grabbing a cup of coffee.

"Promise?" You ask looking at him.

"Cross my heart."

"I need to pick up a car seat for (nickname). Think you can handle her?" Sam asks grabbing the keys to the impala.

"Relax Sammy, pipsqueak and I'll be fine." Dean replies as he sits down on a chair, you toddle over and reach up wanting up. The oldest Winchester laughs and scoops you up. "That what you wanted cutie?" You nod and curl up against Dean sucking on your thumb.

Cas suddenly appearing out of nowhere makes you start crying your eyes out. Making Dean emerge from the bathroom gun in hand ready to kill. He sighs in relief and puts his gun away when he realizes it's just Cas. "I don't understand why there's a small child in here and why she's crying." Cas comments. Dean chuckles to himself as he picks you up.

"The reason why she's crying is because you scared her. She's not used to having people suddenly appear and disappear." Dean explains, as he calms you down. "She's here because Sam found her living on the streets waiting for her parents to come back. She was by herself for at least a month."

"Do you want me to see if I can find her parents?" Cas inquires tilting his head slightly. You shake your head clutching Dean's shirt tighter in your small hand.

"Nah, Sammy and I can handle her." Dean smiles as Sam comes inside holding a bag of fast food.

"I bought a car seat and set it up. Oh hey Cas." Sam says setting the food down on the table. "I didn't know that you were here so I just got food for Dean, Y/N, and I." Cas just shrugs saying that he was just stopping by for a moment.
