Kitchen Sink Fic

A new friend

Tyler limped home still in pain. As he walked back to his house he saw Josh, and Josh saw Tyler and decided to talk to him.

"Hey Tyler! What's up?"

"Just heading home," Tyler replied softly.

"Oh. Could I have your number so you can like come over sometime?"

"Sure," Tyler told him his number.

They both parted ways and walked home by themselves.

"How was your first day?" His mother smiled

"Just great."

         Tyler ran upstairs and collapsed into his bed. He just wanted to fall asleep and never wake up. Well, that was, until he heard someone knock at his door.

"Tyler! Someone is here and wants to see you!" his mother yelled.

"Oh hey Josh, come in," Tyler welcomed him in. He guided Josh upstairs to his room where they both sat on his bed.

"So are we like...F-friends now?"

"Oh for sure! Why do you sound so confused?"

"I don't know, I just really haven't had a good friend in a while." Tyler admitted. He loved the color of his eyes and the way he smiled. He just couldn't stop staring.

"Hey, Tyler, your face is really red."

Tyler absolutely zoned out when Josh said this. He had no filter on his mouth.

"You're just so cu- um it's just really hot in here."

"Haha, Tyler I heard what you said. I think you're really cute too..." Josh giggles.

"Oh...Um" he now kind of felt nervous somehow.

(2 hours later)

"I better head home now. See you on Monday!"

"See you on Monday." Tyler waved at Josh.

Oh my gosh...I love Josh... Tyler thought as he lay in bed. Am I gay...?

Tyler knew that Josh wouldn't feel the same way. But he was happy to at least have a friend.
