I ran

Today I ran.
Ran as far as my legs could take me.
Then I kept on running.
Away from everything.
Away from everyone.
With no real clue to where I was heading.
I just kept on running...

Left. Right. Up and down.
My heart skips a beat
Down and up. Left. Right.
Moving onward on two sore feet.

Yesterday I ran.
Ran as far as my legs could bring me.
No destination, no idea where I would end.
My mind was blank as I kept on marching.
As I kept on running, kept on fleeing.
I didn't hope, I didn't expect anything.
I just continued onwards, and waited.

Left. Right. Up and down.
My heart skips a beat
Down and up. Left. Right.
Moving onward on two sore feet.

Tomorrow, I'll run.
Run as far away as humanly possible.
And then I'll keep on running.
Returning is not an option.
Because it'll never be the same without.
Everything abandoned, so I abandoned everything.
And I will never stop.

Left. Right. Up and down.
My heart skips a beat
Down and up. Left. Right.
Moving onward on two sore feet.

Yesterday I ran.
Today I ran.
Tomorrow I'll run.
Onwards.
And onwards.
never looking back.
Save to remember the time we had.

Down and up. Left. Right.
Onwards.
Forwards.
Again.
And again...
