Megan Watson's POV
"Tonight we'll dance, I'll be yours and you'll be mi-i-i-i-i-i-i-ine. We won't look back, take my hand and we will shi-i-i-i-i-i-i-ine!"
Delilah and I were dancing around her bedroom, singing at the top of our voices.
"Wooooah, she needs a wild heart, she needs a wild heart. I got a wild heart!" We sang loudly, as Delilah got up and stood on my old bed, belting out the lyrics.
"And I know it's late, and I know it's coooold -" we continued before the door opened and my mum walked in with a hand on her hip.
"Girls, I know it's all fun but I asked you to -" she started to try and get us to be quiet, but we didn't stop.
"The way you mooove, it's wonderfuuuul," I belted out, grabbing my mother's hands and dancing around, "let's do it now cause one day we'll both be ooooold."
"Like you." Delilah added with a smirk, her words directed towards mum.
Mum gasped and scolded Delilah with a small laugh, "Delilah Watson, how dare you!"
Delilah giggled and turned off the music, smiling innocently at mum, who simply rolled her eyes and left the room.
"Jesus, I'm tired after that," I let out a small laugh as I plopped down onto my bed, breathing heavily.
"You're just unfit," Delilah teased, sitting beside me.
I scoffed. "Gee, thanks Lilah!"
"You're welcome, Meggyboots!" She grinned, knowing that would annoy me. With a cackle, she got up and left the room.
I shook my head, still slightly out of breath. My phone started ringing in my pocket, so I took it out and when I saw the caller ID on the screen, answered the call.
"Hey, babe." Niall's voice sounded from the other end of the phone, causing a small smile to tug at the edges of my lips.
"Hiii," I spoke back, holding the 'i' in 'hi'.
"How are ya?" He asked.
"Alright," I told him, a soft sigh leaving my lips as I played with my hair, "sorta worn out, but yeah, alright."
"Worn out? What's wrong, Meg?"
"Oh, no. Nothing's wrong," I assured him, "I've just been singing and dancing and shit with Delilah, and now I'm tired."
A soft laugh could be heard from him before he spoke again into the phone, "Oh." After a moment of silence, he spoke up again, "Meg, I was thinking."
"About?"
"The wedding," he told me. My heart sped up a little, as it often did when he brought it up. Most of the time, I would almost forget we were actually going to get married, so when he brought it up it made me feel excitement every time. "I, uh, thought of a date we could maybe have it on."
"Yeah?" I asked. my eyebrows raising.
"Yeah," he repeated, before continuing, "I was thinking, wouldn't the 31st of December be a good day to have it?"
"New Years Eve?" I questioned, thinking about it. "Yeah, actually. That'd be a good day."
"Really? You think so?" His excitement could be heard in his voice.
"I do," I let a small laugh leave my lips.
"Good. I do too."
We didn't say anything for a while, but the silence was soon enough broken by me.
