Niall Horan's POV

While Meg was in hopsital, I spent most of my time sitting in the cafe near the entrance to the hospital, my head jumbled up in a mess of disorganized thoughts. The fact that at any moment, I could recieve the news that I was now actually a father, was unbelievable. There were times where I would admittedly be bored out of my mind, but I didn't want to drive home incase the baby was born while I left.

Lottie, Meg's best friend, visited once or twice, too. It was nice to have her company, because she was a very funny girl. Both of us would have liked to see Meg, but Meg had asked me to leave. I knew she never liked me seeing her at her worst moments, but I really didn't mind. I wanted to be there for her, but I understood the fact that she didn't want me there.

"Oh my god, this joke was made for Megan," Lottie said with a grin, glancing away from her phone. "Knock knock."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Who's there?"

"Anita."

"Anita who?"

"Anita dick inside me!" Lottie exclaimed before throwing her head back and laughing loudly.

"Shut up, there's kids here," I said while trying to hold back laughter. "And that's my girlfriend you're talking about. I dunno if I should be offended or not."

"Niall." Lottie put a hand on my shoulder, "We both know your girlfriend's a who--  wait! Knock knock!"

I glared at her, but still said, "Who's there?"

"Urine."

"Urine who?"

"Urine secure, don't know what for!" She sang, soft laughter leaving her lips after.

I shook my head at her with a chuckle and then after a moment, stood up. "I'm gonna see how Meg is. Be back in a sec."

Lottie nodded her head and then went back to looking at her phone. It took me a while to actually find the place where Meg was, because the hospital was quite big, not to mention everywhere looked the same. When I did find where I remembered her room to be, I walked through the corridors in attempt to find her room, but I was stopped by a nurse.

"Mr. Horan?" She said, causing me to stop. "Mr. Horan, your wife is asking for you."

"She's not--" I cut myself off and just shook my head, a small smile threatening to form on my lips. "Where is she?"

The nurse hesitated. "W-well... I think it'd be best if you just gave her a minute or two to calm herself down before you go."

"Calm herself down?" I asked, my eyebrows furrowing together. "What do you mean, calm herself down? Is she okay?"

"Your -- your daughter," the nurse hesitated again. I felt some sort of weird feeling when she said "your daughter", and it made me feel like I really was a father. I was too worried to focus on that for long, though.

"My daughter?" I asked.

The nurse narrowed her eyes at me. "Excuse me? Are you not Mr. Horan?"

"No, I am. Sorry." I shook my head. "Could you please tell me where Megan is?"

The nurse sighed. "Room thirteen."

"Thanks," I said with a nod of my head. I started walking again, and as the room numbers got higher and closer to thirteen, the sound of someone crying became clearer. Crying as in, really crying. It sounded as if the person was extremely upset. I just hoped that the person wasn't Meg.

When I got to room thirteen, though, I knew the crying was coming from in there. The door was closed, so even though it wasn't exactly very polite, I opened it to see Meg on her bed, sobbing her heart out with two doctors in the room with her.
