Pathway of Another Chance

Simon POV

Me and David started talking about what to do in the position we are in now. We had a map of the building and some markers with some coloured pins that pointed what room those creatures were in.

So far, we know there are some on level 4 and most of them are in the auditorium... I don't know about Carl and Alex but David reckoned that they may be wandering around endlessly outside of the Green Room or dragging themselves on floor 6.

Thats when a question popped in my head.

"What are those creatures anyways...?" I asked curiously.

"Well... I think its best if we call them zombies" David said.

"What do you think we're in? A movie?" I grumbled.

"Geez fine then..." Sighed David loudly. "How about walkers?"

"Oh yea thats right... we're in Walking Dead. Lets just find Daryl and join his bloody group..." I replied sarcastically.

"Fine you make up the name! Oh my God..." Complained David.

"How about... the draggers?" I said, as I moved my hands across like jazz hands.

David didn't say anything. He just looked at me and shake his head in disappointment.

"Wow... thats the most stupidest name I've ever heard. How abou-"

"Risers? That sounds good to me..." Ant interrupted as he joined our conversation.

David was gonna say something but he stopped himself. We looked at each other than looked at Ant.

"Um... that was actually not bad" David said surprisingly.

"Yea, it wasn't..." I replied. Ant chuckled at me and David as he walked away to the girls.

David and I went back when we realise something. If we stay here, we can actually make a living here in the Green Room... I mean, it's safe and we have food. Well, enough food.

"But you know we can't stay here forever you know..." David murmured.

"Look we just have to make it wor-"

"No we don't... If we stay here, the Risers could close on us any minute... Other than that, we don't even have enough food that looks like it s not even gonna last long! Plus i-imagine, losing someone a-and y-you know..." David didn't know what to say anymore. He was tired and he felt sick, and I knew it.

"W-well... we can't really do anything can't we?" I said softly.

David and I couldn't think anymore. I felt like crying when we had to take the chance... I mean, we have to.

"Well... I think the best option is for us to go out of this room..." I hesitated.

We both didn't say anything. David just nodded his head and got up to walk over to Alesha, who was fetching herself a glass of water.

I put my hands in my head as I felt someones hand on my shoulder.

"You alright, love?" Amanda ensured quietly.

"N-no... we are taking a big risk Mandy... me and D-david decided that we should get out of this room..." I whispered sadly.

Amanda POV

I looked at Simon in shock but he knew I understood why.

"Well... can't we just wait in here for a bit and then go out of the Green Room...?" I questioned quietly.

"Yeah we should do that... we should just try and get use to the viewing of the Risers..." Simon answered back reluctantly.

"Yea..." I replied back.

Thats when we both said nothing. It was really awkward as I started playing around with the bracelets on my wrists.

"A-amanda?" Simon stuttered.

"Yes Simon...?"

"I just wanna say that if y-you needed comfort or a-anything... I'm always there f-for you" He smiled weakly.

"Thank you... but I have Alesha so you don't have to worry about" What the hell, why did I say that?!

"Oh, I-i mean l-like you know..." Simon excused sadly. Oh no... why did I say that?

"No, like... you know, I mean... Yeah thank you Simon" Thats when I waved short goodbye to him, only to walk to Ant and Dec, who were sitting on the couch.

Not only did I just ruined a moment with Simon but I just walked out on a man who I know I needed a shoulder to cry on.

"Bugger..." Dec said all of a sudden.

"What?" I said, as I bring my knees up to my chest.

"You and Simon..." Ant said, as he shakes his head in disapproval.

"What about me and Simon?" I whisper-shouted, only for Alesha to give me a quick look.

"You guys are sooooo frustrating to watch... I mean pshh" Ant complained.

"Its not my fault..." I shot back quietly.

"Um well..." Emphasised Dec as he made that sarcastic sound of clutching his teeth together, and breathing in deeply.

"You did say how you didn't really need him for comfort..." Ant said cheekily, in a sort of wise way.

"No I didn't. I said tha-"

"You said you have Alesha... thats like a blow in the stomach for Simon" Dec interrupted me wisely, making the guilt inside eat me up.

"I know..." I said, as I tried to not let my tear droop down on the side of my eye.

"Look..." Ant said, as he soon started feeling sorry for me.

"Just... don't push him away or else... thats all" Ensured Dec, as he rubbed my back up and down.

"I just regret what I did thats all..." I said, all isolated.

Thats when Dec said something.

"Well... Regrets is just a pathway of another chance, right?" Smiled Dec.

This made me smile at Ant and Dec for they were trying their best to cheer me up!
