The Two of Us (A Cody Simpson Love Story) Chapter 1

*beep beep beep* My eyes  slowly open. It’s 9 in the morning, on a Saturday. Today’s my best friend’s birthday party. I finally sit up from my bed and get my macbook from the floor. I open it up and log in. The first thing I check is Facebook. I poke all of my friends back, RSVP events, and set my status to a song. Next, I got on Twitter. I looked through my mentions and went through the news feed. Cody Simpson tweeted something.

That tweet made me smile. I retweeted it and logged off. I went to my closet and started looking around for something to wear to my best friend Kaitlyn’s party. We have known eachother since we were in 1st grade, which was she moved next door to me. I finally found the perfect outfit for her party. It was a strapless white and black dress  (white on the top then black on bottom), really cute black pumps, a white clutch, and a necklace with a anchor on it. Even though I’m only 14, it was for Kaitlyn’s birthday party that is supposed to be huge. I set the whole outfit out on my computer chair and went to take a shower. 

I got out of the shower and checked the time. It was noon. I can’t believe I spent that much time on my laptop, picking an outfit, and taking a shower. I don’t have to rush because her party doesn’t start until 7. I blow dry my hair and straighten it. i put on a grey volleyball shirt and blue Soffee shorts and go downstairs. I go to the kitchen to see my mom on her blackberry talking about work. Typical mom. I pour some cheerios and milk in a bowl and eat my lunch.i cleaned my bowl in the sink and took a nap in my comfty bed. 

*few hours later*

My eyes finally open. I had the most amazing dream ever. I was at a Cody Simpson Concert and he called me up on stage and sang to me. Best. Dream. Ever. I get my iphone and look at the time. IT WAS 5. I only have two hours to get ready, wrap her gift, and get there! I go into the bathroom and put my makeup on. A little concealer, mascara, line my upper lashes, and stain my lips this pretty light pink color. I straighten my hair, again to make sure it looked really good. I looked at myself in the mirror. My eyes changed color to a green and gold color with a blue outline. My blonde hair looked perfect. I felt so pretty. I ran into my room and wrapped Kaitlyn’s gift. I got her two VIP tickets to see Cody Simpson next week. One for her and one for me. i stuck the gift in my clutch and got my dress on. After I was finished with everything, I looked at the time. 6:45. Time to head over to Kaitlyn’s house. 

I walk up to her porch and rang the doorbell. (author’s note: the neighborhood that this I based this in is for rich people that live in LA so they are really nice houses) Kaitlyn opens the door and smiles really big. ” Lindi! I’m so glad you’re here! The party is about to start.” She walked me to the back door that goes to her backyard. She opened the door and I walked through. It looks amazing. All of our friends were back here. She had a DJ playing awesome music, a stage for a band, buffet tables and everything. I have a feeling that this is going to be so much fun. 

About an hour into the party, I was dancing  with Kaitlyn and abunch of our close friends when the DJ played my favorite song, On my Mind by Cody Simpson. Kaitlyn and I go up to the DJ’s table ad grab mics and start singing. I’m not going to lie, Kaitlyn and I are really good singers. When the song was over, thee DJ announced something. 

“Hey guys! It is now time to have the special singer come out and play a few songs for you guys. Please welcome CODY SIMPSON!” My jaw dropped.
