The Two of Us (A Cody Simpson Love Story) Chapter 5

I guess Cody saw me look over at Kaitlyn and Greyson because he also looked over. I saw him in the corner of my eye smiling. Then he looked me. I turned my head and looked into his eyes. I couldn’t help but smile at him. He was such a great person. I mean, he brought me to a movie premiere with him and hooked upGreyson and Kaitlyn! I could see camera flashes right  in front of us meaning people were taking pictures of us. Cody came close to my face and whispered something. “Are you having a good time?” I chuckled and nodded. 

When we got to the end of the red carpet, some reporters and magazine companies called Cody over. He started walking over then looked back at me. “Come on Lindi!” he said then laughed. I walked over with him to greet all the reporters. Some of them were asking me questions. “What’s your name?” “Lindi Name.” “How old are you?” “14, My birthday is February 25th.” “Are you Codydating?” I paused. How am I supposed to answer this? Because I don’t really know. “No, we just really good friends!” When I said that, I’m pretty sure Cody heard me because he looked over at me. I could NOT look over. I wouldn’t know what to do. 

We both finally got done with interviews and it was time to watch the movie. As we were walking into the theater, Cody put his hand on my back escorting me. Oh what a gentleman. During the movie, I looked over to Kaitlyn and Greyson.Greyson’s arm was around Kaitlyn while she rested her head on his shoulder. Now that was a picture perfect moment. I look over to Cody and see his eyes glued to the movie. I could tell he is a HUGE Harry Potter fan. 

When the movie was over, we went to the after party. Before I went inside, I got my IPhone out and went on Twitter. I started a new tweet.

Kaitlyn and I were amazed about how many celebrities were there. Kaitlyn comes over to me and says, “We should go meet some of the celebrities!” I nodded in excitement. I turned to Cody. ” Hey Cody, Kaitlyn and I are going to go talk to some people. Get me in 30 minutes?” Cody nodded and smiled. Kaitlyn yanked my arm through  the crowd. 

During the thirty minutes I met Madison Pettis, Billy Unger, Cody’s sister Alli, and Christian Beadles. As I was talking to Christian, I felt someone tap my shoulder. When I turn around, Cody is right in front of me. “Come with me.” Cody grabs my hand and guides us through the crowd. We were in front of the DJ. What is going on?

Cody nods to the DJ. The DJ turns down the music and goes to the mic. “Hey everyone! We have something special tonight! Cody Simpson and his friend Lindi Name will be singing Cody’s single, “On my Mind” for you  guys tonight!” My jaw drops. I turn over to Cody and give him the look that says “OH MY GOSH WHAT ARE YOU DOING!” He laughs and guides  me up onstage. The DJ gives both Cody and I mics. I could feel my face turn white. I was so nervous. Cody sees meand whispers to me. “Lindi, I know you can do this. You have an amazing voice. I’ll here with you the whole time, singing with you.” I look at him. He smiles to me. I sighed and took the mic. During the whole song, I sang my heart out. Cody was dancing around me as we were singing, which was really cute. At the end  of the song, Cody was right in front of me, super close, and we were looking into each other’s eyes.

Everyone was clapping and cheering! I got on my tip toes and hugged him. Cody and I gave back the mic to the DJ and went into the crowd. The crowd swarmed around us. I heard people saying “Oh my gosh you guys were great!” and “Lindi you are so good!” I didn’t really care what they were saying. I felt pale. Cody looked at me. He came over to me and said, “Come with me.” I follow him out  of the building. It was alot cooler outside than it was inside. I started to get cold so i started  rubbing my arms. Cody takes off his jacket and puts it over. He sits on the curb and pats the cement telling me to sit. I sit next to him and look out into the city. Everything was lighted. All of the buildings. It looks amazing out here. I put my head down and close my eyes. Cody’s fingers touch my chin and bring my head up him. 

“Lindi, I need to tell you something. Ever since you went on stage with Kaitlyn at her party, I thought I saw an angel. Youree beautiful, funny, nice, and just a great person to be around. I think I might be falling for you.” My eyes widen when he said that he mgiht be falling for me. He continued, “I just want to know one thing. Do you feel the same way?” My heat sank. I can’t believe Cody Simpson is falling for me. 

I start to tear up. Cody reminds me so much of Quinton. Quinton was someone I used to date. We have been best friends since we were in 3rd grade. He lived down the street from me. While we were dating, His family decides to move to Florida. Half way across the United States. I haven’t seen him since he moved. (author’s note: i have an actual friend named Quinton and he does remind me ofCody haha ) “Cody, you are sweet, funny, nice, just an amazing person to be around. Of course I feel the same way.” He got a huge smile on his face, and Icouldn’t help but laugh. We looked into each other’s eyes. He started leaning in towards me face. Oh my gosh. Cody Simpson is about to kiss me. Our faces are literally centimeters away. Cody leans just a little bit more and out lips touch. Cody Simpson and I are kissing. All of a sudden, I see a flash. Oh god.
