"Do you and Ellie kiss?"

His little sisters question made Mike Wheeler spit his juice out almost immediately. A blush tinting his cheeks in embarrassment as he hastily tried to wipe the mess up.

"Um what? Why would you ask that?"

Holly shrugs not noticing her older brother dilemma. "It was just a question... I mean she's your princess right?"

Now that made the Wheeler boy turn red.

He turned wide eyed to his younger sibling, who sat on the counter expectantly, a cookie in her hand and juice in the other. "Listen Hols you don't gotta be asking stuff like that about that..."

"What you mean Mikey?"

"I mean..." he struggled to not blush further but the topic was pretty damn embarrassing and the poor kid couldn't help but turn red.

Mike grabbed Holly's hands to listen. "You're young Hols, you're about to be seven and all though you are getting older, I still think talking about kissing is still weird."

"Is kissing gross? That why you don't like talking about it?" She furthers and his eyes widen.

"No!" Taken back by his own out burst he pushes his eyes back to the dirty dishes at hand before continuing softly now.

"When it's with the right person it won't be. When it's with someone you-"

"Someone you love?"

"Y-yeah that too," Mike smiled goofily and Holly giggled. "You love Ellie." Her words more of a statement than a question.

This time Mike grinned happily not even trying to contain his joy. "Yeah Holly I do."

"And she loves you?" She continues.

"She does." He nods and Holly giggles. "At least that's what she's been telling me," his eyebrows raise in exaggeration with humor and his sister laughs more. "You're so silly Mikey!"

"I know he is, isn't he?"

The two whip around and Mike's face lights up at a certain brown haired girl. A cute pair of Levi high waisted tapered jeans and one of Jonathan's old Rolling Stones t-shirts tucked in wrapped around her small body.

She looked utterly adorable especially with her old beaten up Nike's that gave a childish look to her.

"Ellie!"

Eleven smiled at Holly before gathering the running girl into her arms. "Hi Holly! What were you guys doing?"

"Talking," she answers with a shrug.

Mike blushes lightly at El's look of question-ment. "Oh yeah about what?"

"About kissing-"

"OKAY um... Holly I think that's enough already. Why don't you go watch tv or something?" He inquires.

"But Jem and the holograms is already over!" The little blonde complains.

"Well go watch something else like Duck Tales! I think it's still on."

Holly gasps at the new information and nods excitedly before bidding the two teenagers good bye.

Once it was just the two Mike flushed further at El's risen eyebrow and growing smirk. "Kissing?"

He shrugs looking away. "She asked a question about it..."

"About?" She prods on coming closer, his heart races at her actions like always.

"She asked if kissing was gross."

El smiles and chuckles, grabbing one of his hands and childly asks "And what did you say?"

It's Mike's turn to laugh with a grin this time. He softly runs his thumb over her cheek, tinting it pink under his touch. "I said it's not when it's with someone you know... you really like or..."

"Or..." Eleven teases.

"Or with someone you love," he finally whispers the words out. It had probably only been about a month since they first uttered the words out to each other but, every time they did it always made Mike's heart drop.

Shyly she blushes, her arms wrapping around her boyfriend's neck with small smile.

"I love you Mike." El declares gently.

His smile is almost face splitting and he can't help but duck, placing a sweet kiss to her lips softly that she returns. "I love you too."

They smile at each other and Mike flushes under her gaze.

"You wanna stay and help me make some cookies my mom needs help with?" He offers.

The shorter girl nods animatedly, her brown hair flipping lightly at her jumping. "Can I eat the leftovers out of the bowl?"

He laughs with a nod. "Sure! Whatever you want El."

"You promise?"

His throat tightens a bit at her words. Especially those specific ones. They're meaningful and they hold a special sense to them. Somehow this isn't just some stupid promise over eating cookie dough it's so much more than that. So much he just couldn't explain.

"I promise."
