Total Eclipes of the heart

Every now and then he falls apart.

The boys don't say anything when he does, they simply leave him alone and if one has enough money that time they buy him a new comic to cheer him up. ("He's sad... a comic could maybe make him feel better, right?")

Karen can sense these days when he sleeps past 10 and doesn't walk down stairs till late afternoon, puffy eyes and a deep frown on his lips. She bakes his favorite cookies and let's him eat the leftover dough out of the bowl as, she pets his hair softly. Mike takes comfort in these moments, it's the most he gets to peace these days.

Those days are the worst but, there are good for the Wheeler boy. Ones where he can look at her fort and smile lightly in remembrance of the little girl who he found wandering in the forest.

Dustin and Lucas bicker and cheer on those days, Will will grin happy to have his missing friend back and, they all go to have pizza at the arcade with their new friend Max. She's fiery and funny and, Mike likes how she seems to have a soft spot for Will. (She still doesn't know anything and they all want to keep it that way)

He's fine those days. Happy even.

Although, everyone remembers the one day he had broken so bad they thought he would never stop crying out for her.

He had gone down stairs and sat in the small tent. It had been almost a year since she disappeared but, Mike still held up the blanket hoping to just get a whiff of her scent, the super com beside him on a empty channel buzzing.

"El, please," he whimpered pleading on the empty channel and only met with static. "I really need you tonight. If you come home... forever could start tonight. We all miss you Eleven. Dustin, Lucas, Joyce, Nancy and even Will misses you."

Once upon a time he was kid falling in love now he was only falling apart. His sobs had echoing loudly throughout the basement and into the house making Karen stop immediately.

"I really need you tonight and I need more than ever," his words were slurred with wails as he sobbed for the lost girl he desperately hoped was still out there.

He hear his mothers gasp as she quickly gathered him in her arms, rocking back and forth baby like and he welcomed the loving warmth from her. "Shh shh shh baby, everything is okay."

'No it's not' he thinks and cries harder remembering the way she bursted right in front of his eyes into ash.

Mike's heart was filled with loneliness and tiredness at listening to the sounds of his tears, and the worst part was there was nothing he could do. He just wanted it to stop and go away already, to stop with his switching emotions and just not be broken because of this but, he just couldn't fit the puzzle back together.

It was a total eclipse of the heart.

Why am I so depressing??? I miss mileven and my god I hope they show some in the trailer.
