As me and Jace continue our escapade down the school hallways I can't help but think how quirky this place is.

Like after going through my fair share of highschools I thought I had seen it all.

Between the most rundown of public schools and the most upity and pretentious of private schools I thought that there wasn't much else to see.  But Alicante high seems to be the exception.

Wearing a uniform is optional here, so already I've seen some kids wearing the light blue button up with a black blazer jacket and black pants or skirt. The uniforms actually compliment and flatter most of the students that I've seen which is a real feet. (TBH I DON'T KNOW THE OTHER SPELLING TELL ME IN THE COMMENTS) Equally as much though I've seen students in their personal clothes and let me say do these kids know how to style or what. Jace alone is wearing a snug green shirt, black jeans and black and white addidas's that all fit him to a tee.

Seeming to know my thoughts focused to him he turned his head and gave me a wink ;) whilst still continuing his pace.  I returned his wink with a scowl and a head turn breaking his gaze with me.

We turned one more corner and arrived at an imposing door that emited the specific aura of a hour of soul crushing lecturing and disappointment that I'm all too accustomed with.

"Well we have arrived at our destination folks. Please make sure to exit on your left side and to always remember to choose handsome devil railways next time you travel" Jace finished with a wink and a flourish of his arms directing me towards the door.

"Hope to see you around shortcake" Jace spoke as he turned and walked away.

Steeling myself to really try and make a good impression this year for Lukes sake, I walked in and banished as many negative thoughts as I could from my mind. Which is a loooooooot of thoughts.

Sitting at a solid wood desk was a woman with long dark hair and striking brown eyes. She sat with an air of elegance and power, her gaze, once being directed at me filled me with caution and a tiny bit more motivation to be compliant with her.

"Hello I don't seem to recognize you, do you happen to be our new student?" She spoke with a professional tone.

"Yes I'm Clarissa Fairchild" I replied,

"Well Clarissa this is your schedule" handing me a sheet of paper, "And I'll call someone up from your first hour to escort you to your class." "You can take a seat in that chair until then. If you have anymore inquiries about your schedule or the school please do not hesitate to ask. My name is Ms. Lightwood by the way and welcome to Alicante High."

I take a seat in the plush navy blue chair in the corner and wonder just what I've gotten into this year.
