Hello, nice to meet you

After the meeting, Naruto was eager to introduce [Name] to his friends so he brought all of them to the korean BBQ to bond. Everyone was already there waiting for the newly arrived girl, all of them were curious about who this girl really is.

"Hello everyone!" Naruto enters and beams at everyone. In unison everyone greets the girl who gets a little bit flustered by the welcoming.

"HELLO TIS' I." She accidentally blurts out. The silence finds its way to the group of ninjas but the silence is quickly exchanged to laughter and soon enough [Name] starts laugh too. Sakura helps her get seated between her and a blond girl called Ino, she didn't want [Name] near the boys. Not because of they are behaving bad, she just didn't want [Name] to get bombarded with questions and people prying in to her personal space. When everyone is seated and has introduced themselves, they start eating.

"Do you remember how old you are [Name]?" The boy who introduced himself as Kiba ask [Name] rather quickly after the name introduction. Said girl stops eating and thinks for a few seconds before answering.

"According to this necklace I have it says I am around 16 years old."

"So you don't remember it but you think you are 16, what if they are lying huh? How would you know if that's the case?"

"Kiba, why would anyone put false information on that plate, it seems like it has some kind of information that is meant to be remembered." Shino retorts.

"Ah come on Shino don't be like that!" The boys start arguing but their female teammate interrupts them.

"C-calm down Kiba-kun, he has a point." Hinata meekly manages to say. Kiba glares at Shino and mumbles to himself 'You won this time bug-freak...'.

"[Name]-san I am sorry for their behavior, I hope you can forgive them." Hinata bows her head towards [Name].

"No no don't worry about it, honestly I am curious myself if it really is the truth. They could have put anything there since I don't know the truth." She sheepishly smiles and scratches her neck.

"Is there nothing you can remember, even if you think really really hard?" Tenten joins in, everyone has directed their attention towards this particular conversation. [Name] stops and puts her chopsticks down (which she now has learned how to handle thank you very much) and cleans the corner of her mouth with a napkin.

"If darkness is something to remember that is it, but I guess that it doesn't. But there is this familiar feeling in my gut when I woke up in the hospital like I spent a lot of time there. Situations like this, simply talking to people and having a good time doesn't give me that familiar feeling. Maybe I never had friends?" She sighs and look up at the ceiling.

"Whatever my life used to be, I can't say I miss it for some reason. As I said, the only thing I can relate too is the darkness and an emptiness. I am sure I'll be happier here!" She smiles towards her newfound friends. They all show their approval towards the girl and her smile gets even brighter.

"I need to leave now before mom gets on my back on being late, geez it's troublesome but I have to go. Nice too meet you [Name]." Shikamaru says before standing up and is about to leave when Choji also stands up.

"Yeah I have too leave too, nice too meet you [Name]!" One after one they take off to their homes, excusing themselves and pays their part before leaving. The only ones left are Naruto and [Name], who turns around to face Naruto.

"What now?" The clueless girl asks. Naruto shrugs and help her up.

"We go home." He doesn't sound too happy about that.

"I don't even know where I live?" The [h/c] haired girl panics but Naruto quickly calms her down.

"Don't worry [Name]-chan I'll show you the way." He smiles his signature smile towards her and she returns the smile.

"Thank you Naruto-kun!"

They was home is filled with Naruto telling his life story and [Name] listens intently. At times she do a few inputs but the conversation inevitably comes to an end. Silence fills the walk until our heroine decides to ask him a very specific question.

"Do you know how it feels like to have a family?"

"It's strange you know, even though I never had a family I understand the feeling! I have many that I consider my family, like if I had a father I'd like to think he would be like Iruka-sensei and if I had a brother I think that he would be like Sasuke!" He eagerly goes on about how he used to be so sad and alone but now he lots of friends that he trusts with his life, like they are his family.

"Ne [Name]-chan why do you ask?" He looks over to the shorter girl.

"Even though you explain it well, I can't relate. I really want to be able to understand it seems so nice. But there is nothing I can relate it too, it's just a big empty hole. I believe even if you suffer from amnesia you should be able to feel the feeling of missing someone. That you miss anything, but there is nothing. Just empty." She stops for a bit and then starts to smile mischievously.

"I though that would help me become a kunoichi you know, have a strong feeling to protect something." She smiles towards Naruto.

"You're deeper than I thought." He laughs a bit, he didn't really think she would say things like this.

"Don't worry [Name]-chan, I think you'll do great!" He smiles that boyish grin of his to reassure her. They continue to walk until they are at the apartment where she is supposed to stay.

"Thank you for walking me home Naruto-kun! I'll see you around!" She waves towards him.

"Don't worry [Name]-chan, see you!" He says before taking off. [Name] turns towards the door and take a deep breath. This is it, her new home.
