THE BOMB

I get up and run to the lab hodges has his head buried in a microscope. I walk in and he looks at me then hands me a file. I go to layout fin and Mac are looking over the Blade when I walk in. I page everyone else. Once everyone come I read the file aloud " the DNA the finger nails and fingerprints on the knife belongs to a Cassandra Killian.

That's when Mac speaks up " wait what" everyone looks at Mac confused " this Cassandra Killian girl I've talked to her before" I ask him " when and where"  " well when the first two victims were killed she was in the neighbourhood and I spoke to her as a witness it's in my notes somewhere " he answers. We all start looking through all the files.

Greg finds the note pad that had all of his notes when he spoke with miss . Killian. Russell looks at me I know what he's thinking. I pull out my phone and call Brass he answers " captain brass " he says in a serious professional tone " hey I need you to track down someone for me before another body drops." He chuckles " well right down to Business today. What's the name"     "Cassandra Killian " " ok let you know what I find" I thank him then hang up.

It's about 6:30 am we're all in the locker room getting ready to leave. I am putting my jacket on when nick asks " hey you want to got get something to eat I am starving? " " no thanks nick I got to take Allison to the dentist before for school thanks for asking though" I am just about to walk out Finlay asks " how is Allison doing anyway " she's coping" well she's doing ok the nightmare and panic attacks are not as often now and she talks with the school social worker once a week so she's doing good" Russell buts in " well that's good" I walk out to the parking garage and there's a note on my truck window. I pick it up and read it " well well your good no one has ever come this close to catching me yet but don't worry the games not over yet !" I look around the parking garage is empty. I bag it and put it in my kit. I go through the drive through at Bennys 24 hour breakfast. Once home I shower then wake Allison up. When she walks in to the kitchen I give her breakfast sandwich and chocolate milk, I eat my omelet and drink coffee. We're done breakfast at 7 Allison brushes her teeth I take to the dentist then drop her off at school.

On the way home I stop and get groceries and some other stuff. I get home and fall a asleep. I awake up a couple hours later. I am eating lunch when I get a call form Mac " we got a lead on Cassandra killian " " ok I'll be there in 20 and don't you dare leave without me" I get up run in to my room get dress and grab my stuff. I make to the lab with 5 minutes to spare, I put my stuff down then text Mac " where r u" he quickly replied " garage with brass about to leave " I grab my kit then rush out to the garage"  Mac is pulling out he stops and I jump in the truck.

As were driving Mac updates me " well here's what we got Cassandra Killian lives in Henderson, no family, no roommates and not even a dog. She works at the Mediterranean as a waitress." " great spot to meet men who cheat on there wife's." Mac smiles. The rest of the drive silent I turn radio up when my favourite song comes on " jet pack blues by fall out boy.

We get there I knock on the door, we wait a minute the knock again. That when we here. Kicking and screaming noise than a what sounds like vase being hitting the floor. We pull our 9mm, Mac gives me look I know all to well. I count down " 1...2...3 " Mac kicks the door in, I radio for back up. We slowly and cautiously move in to the house, with our weapons raised. I turn in to the living room mac comes up behind me I almost shoot him. In the living room where there's a man tied to a chair with duck tape over his mouth and his feet are tied together. I walk up to the man to when I hear a click under macs foot. He looks at me and says " get out now and call the bomb squad now" I do as he asks.

Once up side I call Russell freaking out " Russell you need to get down here now I think Mac stepped on a bomb." Russell reassures me " ok I am heading down there now "

Within 10 minutes Russell, Finlay,nick and Sara come rushing up to me. I am Pacing back and forth on the side walk.

Lieutenant Kingston from the bomb squad walks over to us " well your guy is standing on pressure plate. And we can't get to the guy tied to the chair cause there's a secondary trigger that if we try get one out they both gets blown to bits" Russell ask " well what are you doing to get them out?" He smiles " don't worry my best guy is in there now disabling both of the devices.
