Team Quill

The Pokemon. (Chapter two of Team Quill)

Abigail waved goodbye to her mother, as she slowly followed Evelyn up the path to the grasslands. She held the Pokeball tight, as if she were going to lose it. Blinking, the forest felt oddly quiet. She felt Evelyn brush next to her, and a tug on her arm. A few feet away, was Oddish.

  "Go ahead, and get it." Evelyn whispered. Abigail flipped out her Pokedex, wanting to find out more about the oddish. After receiving her information, she raised her pokeball.

  "Vulpix, go!" The Pokeball flung open, letting the Vulpix go. The Oddish looked afraid, shaking.

  "Vulpix, use ember!" Abigail said loudly. The Vulpix lept, landing infront of the Oddish. Flames lept from her Pokemon, hitting the startled Oddish. Once the Oddish had gotten up, it had used Razorleaf against Vulpix.

  "You got this, Quick attack!" Her Pokemon darted around the other, and the Oddish fell. Abigail raised an empty Pokeball, and threw it at the Oddish. The Pokeball rattled, and at last, It went still.

Evelyn high-fived her friend, and Abigail ran out to pick up the Pokeball.

  "Nice one, Vulpix. Return!" She sent her Vulpix back into the Pokeball. The two girl started treking through the woods again.

Evelyn felt her feet grow tired, as she looked over, Abigail looked tired, also.

  "Lets stop here for the night. The Pokemon won't go away." Abigail only nodded sleepily. They both curled under a birch tree, there Pokeballs close to them. Abigail murmured a sleepy good-night, as they both fell into a slumber.

"Evelyn! Wake up! Theres a Rattata!" Abigail whispered, shaking her friend violtently. Evelyn's eyes snapped open, and she crept slowly to her feet.

Abigail pointed with her finger, a Rattata slowly making its way past.

Evelyn didn't need information on this Pokemon, she tossed her Pokeball at the ground, and her Mudkip appeared.

She knew Mudkip would beat Rattata.She Had to catch somthing.

  "Mudkip, you got this! Use Mud-slap!" Evelyn called.  The Mudkip circled the Rattata. Before slamming its tail to the ground. The Rattata dodged this attack, before tackling Mudkip.

"Mudkip, use  Watergun! " This attack hit Rattata, making it faint. Evelyn tossed her empty Pokeball. She watched it rattle on the ground, she bit her lip. The rattling stopped.

  "YES!" Evelyn squealed, jumping up and down. She dashed out, picking her newly caught Rattata.

"Well done Mudkip. " She said quietly. She shoved her Pokeball in her jacket, and blinked.

  "Mudkip, return." The Mudkip returned to his Pokeball. She smiled at Abigail, and Abigail smiled back.

  "We'll get to the Elite four in no time, at this rate."  She said. They headed on, yet again.   Abigail pushed her glasses up on her face, and tied the Panda hat around her head. Evelyn laughed, and shook her head.

  "I can't wait for our first gym." She said. "Here we come, Heron city!"
