Chapter 11

(Max's POV)  

I left the room Jacob was in. I closed the door and turned towards the others. They all were staring at me waiting for an answer.

"Well?" Adam asked.

"Is he in reality again?" Preston asked.

"Is he back?" Barney asked.

I paused giving them suspense. I saw Aubrey in the corner trying not to burst with joy.

"Guys... there's no easy way to say this, but..." I started.

"So he is still how he was?" Red asked.

"Jacob is... doing okay. He's back in reality!" I said.

Everyone gathered in a big group hug. The nurse walked past us and went into Jacob's hospital room to do paperwork I suppose. I was just so happy Jacob was okay and back with us. Thanks to Aubrey. I don't know how I could ever thank her.

(Aubrey's POV)

Barney pulled me aside and hugged me.

"Thank you so much. I knew you would help him."

"You're welcome Barney, but I have to let you know something."

"What is it?"

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I then opened them slowly revealing them to him. Barney backed up in shock then became mesmerized from my eyes.

"Why are they-" Barney started to say

"Why are the color of my eyes gold?" I interrupted him. He nodded his head.

"I just learned about this so it's new to me as well. You know that Elementals give off flames that represent a color. Well this is kinda like that in a way, except the color is shown through the iris of the eyes. This only happens if the Elemental is still using their power. In which I'm still using mine to fully recover Jacob's memory." I explained.

"Aubrey... this is... a lot to take in... does Jacob know about that?" Barney asked.

"No, but he will soon enough. He's smart so he will find out for himself." I said.

"Alright. Well when is your flight home?" Barney asked.

"Tomorrow morning at nine."

"Okay I'll take you to the airport in the morning so you don't have to call a taxi."

"Thanks Barney."

(Jacob's POV)

Some nurses came into my room and asked me questions about how I was feeling or where I think I am. I answered truthfully as of what I was shown since this is all real. Once the nurse was finished she left and I was alone once more.

All these visions keep on reoccurring. It always starts with memories of the past with Max and the others and it always ends with the green flame, or something related to the green flame. What is so important about the green flame to have it pop up again and again in these visions. And more importantly...

I had no idea that there was such a thing as a solid green pistol.
