Chapter 6: Conflicts and Arguments

As the mood inside the room heats up, the teachers have planned to find out what happened to Hannah. If New Star Academy did not pirate her, they at least need to find out what is the reason for her disappearance. Alex then remembered the day she discovered Hannah.

“She was startled and immediately ran away when I saw her,” Alex told to Lawrence while questions were floating on their mind.

The two teachers have decided to go on Hannah’s house after the class.

On the class, Alex explained how their class will work, “A week from now, you would be introduced to the press. However, we will only choose three students to perform so we can keep the mystery and excitement. Among the performance, the most ready are Lewis, Mikaela and Michael. Hence, they would be the one who will perform.”

“Okay!” Lewis coolly replied. On the other hand, Mikaela smiled naughtily as she overtakes her classmates.

Alex then revealed something about how they will be trained, “But being picked or not in the press presentation does not conclude what will happen to you. Each of you will be trained on different field depending on your potentials. Lawrence, me and another teacher will handle two students each.”

“Oh! Something like X-Factor and The Voice. Each of us would have a mentor and we would be protégés,” Mira exclaimed excitedly and looked at Lewis.

“Yeah. Something like that but it would be stricter as every one of you needed to be big stars,” Alex replied.

“Needed to be big stars?” Mikaela raised her curiosity.

Alex was stunned and believed that if she will tell the real reason, it would not only give pressure to the student but might lose their hopes. She just then explained that it was their goal on getting a special batch of students.

She just then asked the students to explore the school together with an employee. As the students walk out the room, a small tension is building up on Mikaela and Suzy while Mira keeps on asking Lewis.

Conversely, Lawrence and Alex have decided to visit Hannah’s house to see their student. They went on the address written on Hannah’s form. When they arrived on the street, they just asked where Hannah’s house is. They were pointed to a 5 storey building. The first floor was a small convenience store with a karaoke machine. They went to the third floor where she was living and knocked on the door.

A fat lady went out and asked them what they need.

“We are Hannah’s teachers from Gaerim Arts School,” Lawrence introduced.

The lady changed her mood and replied, “How many times do I have to tell that my daughter would not be a celebrity or taking up any related course?!”

Alex already got what the girl means and that is Hannah’s parents do not allow their daughter to go on show business.

Alex knocked on the door to convince Hannah’s mother but they failed even on opening the door.

After few minutes, Lawrence noticed that there is a small commotion happening downstairs. When he got down, he was surprised to see the whole class. Lawrence asked them what they are doing here.

“We are bored in the junky school so we followed you but it seems this place is also full of trash,” Suzy replied while seeing poverty on the place.

“Sir, what happened to Hannah?” Blizzard asked as he was concerned about his audition partner.

“Sadly, she was not allowed by her parents to go on show business,” Lawrence said and told them to return on the school.

Lawrence went back to Alexandria to explain the commotion. Meanwhile, Mira suggested doing something so they can convince Hannah’s parents.

“I’m not wasting my energy for that,” Mikaela replied.

“I like that idea but I think it would not work. But we would not lose anything if we try,” Suzy replied but still, with a poker face.

“I think Mira’s idea is good,” Lewis’ comment made Mira be overwhelmed.

Upstairs, the two teachers heard a voice – “I can almost see it. That dream I’m dreaming. But there’s a voice…”

It was Mira’s big soulful voice singing the song, “The Climb.” But after some moments, their beat changed and as well as the song.

Lady yeah, Genie yeah.”

It was Lewis who started to sing the song, “Genie” by Girls Generation, a popular girl group. His classmates also began to sing the upbeat song and danced. Blizzard was cutely dancing while Suzy was like a robot forced to dance. Lewis and Michael were silently competing to each other whereas Mira tries to sing more than dancing. On the other hand, Mikaela was just standing on the side watching them.

On the other side, Alex and Lawrence were a little bit amazed on what their students did. Hannah was also peeking on their window to see what is happening and she saw her teachers.

“Oh! If I’m not mistaken, it is my partner’s voice,” Hannah recognized Blizzard’s voice.

“And, could it be? Lewis Celadon’s voice? I must be mistaken.” Hannah expressed her doubts.

Hannah’s mother heard her and yelled, “Hey Hannah! Stop staring at the window. Go to your room and study your books.”

Hannah went to her room and sat on a chair. She really wanted to try singing for a crowd but her parents, especially her mother hinders her. Hannah then continues to her the voice outside singing.

After some moments, the class stopped from performing.

“Can we just leave this dirty place? I should not have gotten into this stinky place,” Mikaela rudely commented.

“Hey. Nobody told you to come here. You just keep on following Michael. You may leave if you want,” Mira exclaimed.

“Just kidding,” she added with a smile.

Mikaela was embarrassed and commented, “Hey, you ugly flirt, I treat Michael as my brother. But didn’t you go here because Lewis is here.”

Mira kept her mouth shut, and Lewis encouraged everyone to go back to school since they have already done their part.

After few hours in the school, Alex and Lawrence returned and told them that before the press conference, they would be trained as a whole group on dancing and singing.

On the night, Hannah keeps thinking about sneaking out their house and trying to go on Gaerim Arts School. She readied her clothes and placed it on a bag. She prepared a letter for her mother so she would not worry.
