Twitter Girl (Out Now!)

August 2014

*Zayn's POV*

I looked into the mirror and fixed my tie as I waited for the wedding to start. I can't believe today is the day I'm marrying Perrie. 

My phone starts to ring and I look at the caller I.D. and see it's Ocean calling. 

"Hey Ocean what's up?" I ask, she knows today is my wedding day

"Zayn I'm sorry for calling today but I thought you'd like to know she woke up," she says and I can tell she's crying

"She woke up?" I ask 

"She woke up," she says 

"She woke up!" I shout "I'll be there soon," 

I hang up the phone and run out of my room and go to the little room were I know Perrie is. I knock on the door impatiently before her mom opens the door.

"Zayn you can't be here it's bad luck," she says

"This is important I need to talk to her," I say 

She looks at me weird before nodding her head and letting me and stepping out herself.

"Zayn?" Perrie says turning away from the mirror to look at me

"Perrie can we talk?" I ask 

"This is about that girl isn't it?" she asks

"How'd you know?" I ask

"Because I know you love her, even if you haven't meet her. Did she wake up?" she asks 

I nod my head unable to speak. She knew?

"Then go. I know you want to," she says 

I nod and give her a kiss on the cheek before running out of the church and to my car. I call and get a plane ticket on my way home to get clothes and then go to the airport and board the plane. 

*Avery's POV*

I heard a strange beeping and tried to open my eyes but they wouldn't budge. 

"I don't know Zayn. It's been a year her parents are thinking about just pulling the plug," I hear Ocean's voice saying. 

What is she talking about? Did she say parents? Before I know it I'm engulfed in darkness again.

*The Next Day*

I figured I had slept through to the next day and my eyes finally opened. I saw Ocean sitting next to my bed asleep with her phone in her hand. 

"Ocean wake up," I say 

She stirs and opens her eyes looking at me. 

"Avery your awake!" she yells wrapping her arms around me

"Why am I in the hospital?" I ask

"You don't remember?" she asks pulling away from me

"The last thing I remember was I was at mine and Zayn's wedding," I say

"What do you mean?" she asks

"You know my wedding. To Zayn Malik. Ocean you were my maid of honor, where is Zayn anyway?" I ask looking around the room

"Avery you've never meet Zayn. You've been in a coma for the past year," she says

"No that's not possible. We graduated high school! My father died! I'm married!" I say feeling so confused

"Avery just wait here one second okay? I'm going to go get a nurse," she says and leaves the room

A few seconds later a nurse walks in the door and smiles politely at me.

"Avery I understand there's some confusion," she says 

I shrug my shoulders and keep my mouth shut. 

"Let me explain some things to you okay?" she asks as I nod my head

"A year ago today you were involved in a car accident. You had serious injuries and you had slipped into a coma. You've been in the coma the past year," she says "Anything you think happened hasn't. Your brain was unusual for being in a coma. Most people just have activity once a month if that. Your brain activity was being recorded everyday which made your parents hope. If you hadn't woken up today we were going to pull you off life support,"

"You mean I haven't graduated from high school? And my dad isn't dead?" I ask

"No honey," she says

"Thank you," I say and she leaves and Ocean walks back in the door

"Guess who's coming to see you?" she says

"My parents?" I ask

"Well yes. But guess who else?" she says

"Santa?" I ask

"No, Zayn," she says

"Zayn? But I haven't met him before," I say

"No. But when you tweeted him he fell in love with you. He never followed you just checked your profile every once and a while and when he noticed you haven't been active he got in contact with me and we've been talking since," she says

I nod my head trying to comprehend everything. Talk about deja vue much. 

*Later That Night*

I was talking to Ocean when there was a knock on my door and in walked a certain black haired boy. 

"Hi I'm Zayn Malik," he says smiling at me "It's nice to officially meet you," 

I smile and say "I'm Avery Rose. It's nice to meet you too,"

"I'll give you guys a moment," Ocean says walking out of the room

Zayn looks at me and smiles "Avery Rose would you like to be my girlfriend?"

Hey guys! So I don't know if my idea fully got through to the story. After Avery sent the first tweet to Zayn she got into a car and was in an accident. Go with it I know it hasn't been a year. And like Ocean said Zayn still fell in love with Avery and when he noticed she wasn't acitve he got worried and reached out to Ocean and together they helped eachother through the idea of Avery might never wake up. 

Over the year Avery was in the coma Zayn got back together with Perrie and they became engaged. Anything from the beginning of the story to now never actually happened, everything was just in Avery's mind as she was in the coma.
