The second task.
Mary laid down on her stomach and watched how Ken strugled to open the door. Ha had panicked, because he had figured out they were locked up. Mary had never seen him like this and asked herself why he wanted to get of this room so desparetly. It wasn't that bad here after all. The walls were white and there was just a normal light. There stood two chairs and a table. On the table laid a book with crosswordpuzzles. Mary stood up and walked towards the table. She looked at the book and read it. It were simple crosswordpuzzles with some of the answers allready filled in. The words formed a little sentence. Mary tried to put the words in a logical order and said it outloud. "Let the best win." She said. Ken stopped with fighting the door looked at Mary. "What did you?" he asked softly. He had lost his voice of al the screaming. "That is what the book: Let the best win, but who is the best? and where in?" she asked. Ken looked around him. There was nothing to see on the walls. "We need more than a sentence. Is there more?" Ken pointing towards the book. Mary shook her head. That was the moment that the wall opened. A big watertank apaired. In the tank were watersnakes and they had a bit of a fight about the space. Mary walked towards it. She felt bad for the little beasts. They needed help. Ken aslo came to the tank. On the bottom laid a key. They had to take it to open the door. The snakes weren't ging to move any time soon. "They want to get out, but if we do that they will die." Mary said. Ken nodded. She was rigth . Maybe they just had to do it. Just take the snakes out and take the key, Because more chances wouldn't be there. Ken stook a hand in the tank and there was a click. Around his pols sat a chain. Mary tried to not think something from it, because this was just a sick game. Still it made her angry. Two innocent people were trapped for the pleasure of a psyco. She stook a hand in the tank and around her pols came no chain. She could easily take the chain. Even the snakes didn't do anything. The key wasn't for the door, but for the chains. Mary freed Ken. They shared a disapointed look. It was something they had not expected. "there must be another sullution."Mary said confidently. And somewhere she knew it for sure. Behind her the wall opened up more and there apaired another room with a glass wall before it. Behind the glas sat two people who they didn't know. They sat next to eithother on a chair and were tied up. They were unconcious and looked almost dead. "Must we free them?" Ken asked. The anwser never came. a kind of plataeu began to spin around the tow people and the sound of saws was to be heard.
Ladies and Gentleman, Mary and Ken have a very difficult taks here. They can only free one, but who will they choose? They first is a woman. She had the guts to say no to my game. The second is a man. He knows a bit to much. He has no idea who he is dealing with. Do you reconize them? Or shall I put on the light?
Mary was hitting the glas wall, but nothing happend. Suddenly there was a bright litgh and turned off very fast. Ken also began to hit the wall. Those two really wanted to get them out both, but they couldn't get in. There was a rumble and the wall came down a little. That wasn't supposed, because a couple of seconds aftera big alarmed was going off. All ligths turned off and there were a couple of clicks. The ligths turned on again and Ken and Mary were in a white room. They were save, but how did they get here? A door opened and a unknown man walked inside the room. Mary's instinct was to knock him out and protect herself. The man held up a hand and Mary did nothing. "Please don't hurt me. I am in just as much danger as you. You are not allone here. There are possibly more people trapped here. I don't have much time and I know you have allot of questions, but for now I can say that you have made it. Let's talk about those other two in the other room. That are two friends of mine. It was your task to save one of them and let the other. It is unfair, but that is how the game works." The man stopped talking and looked at the couple. They were still busy proccessingthe last couple of minutes. "I see that you still don't trust me and I don't expect you to. I only want to get you out here savely. I have known how to break in to this systeem and I know how everything works here. I am helping my friends that are locked in here and somehow I found you two. That wasn't suppossed to happen, but now I feel like I should help you two also. In the next room you should do it alone for a bit, until I can break in again. And...Don't be scared." the man said and leaves the room, but Mary stops him. "Wait! I haven't heard your name yet. I am Mary and this is Ken. I wanted to thank you for saving us, because I had lost hope for a bit." Mary said. The man smiled weakly. "I think it is better that you don't know me, but it was getting to know you, Mary and Ken." he said and disapairs in the dark. Mary felt a wave of pity going to trough her. She knew excatly why he wanted to help them so badly and why he was helping the two others. It was all out of love. He had lost someone with this game. Mary wanted to ask who it was, but thougth she would have to firgure it out. They had to move on.
