Task 5
If they didn't hear the screaming, They would have been stuck on that floor. They just had opened the door when they saw the big smokecloud coming their way. They learned very fast that staying there would be their death. They ran as past as they could towards the stairs. Mary was going first without waiting for Ken. She was faster if she was going alone. when she was downstairs she could look how thic the smoke actually was. She had been lucky. Later Ken followed. He had a little more trouble with the smoke. He coughed heavily and held a hand against his chest. Mary helped him to a saver place. They came in the same room, but on a different floor. Mary put Ken on the ground and sat next to him. They felt hot. Mary wiped some sweat from her forehead. The fire sure had made the temperature rise and it was hot everywhere. Ken seemed to be very ill from it. Even more than her. That was a bit strange, but Mary had Australian roots and still seemed to be surprised by all those complaining Americans. She had lived her for a while and the first thing she noticed, was the temperature. She was used to long and hot days, but here in America it worked differently. Here you where used to nothing and you always felt to hot. Mary had seen not to much of the country itself. She was to busy with Ken. She had followed him immidialty after she found out she was in love with that teddybear. She hadn't been sorry about it, because she was married him. That discission had been made almost three weeks after, but with everything at home they thought about it for a while. Secretly Mary had everything planned already. She suggested to live togehter so they could get used to eithother. They had a three month relationship and it was going great. Mary wanted more. I'm not going in to details, but allot had happend. Ken declared his love for her when they where almost a year together. That was also the moment they decided to live together. Fast enough they had met eithothers families and Mary moved to America. With a visum. She was happy. She also took her work with her. She began a clinic for sick and hurt snakes together with Brian. Brian and Mary were good friends and did everything together. Mary knew allot about snakes and it really was her passion. She even convinced Ken to get some snakes for themselves. After three years and three big successes of the clinic, Ken proposed. They married three weeks after and didn't go on a honeymoon. Now they were sitting in a to hot room. Mary knew that is was ideal for snakes or other reptiles. It was moist enough in here. With a couple of plants and some sand she could put some snakes in here. With that thought she fell asleep.
Softly from the ceiling two black figures crawled out. They had glowing eyes and long tongues. They could see two other sleeping figures. Without a sound they crawled closer. They crawled closer to their victim and tried to look for a good biting spot. The fat one was the easiest and was poisoned in three seconds. The little one was not that easy. She fought back. Mary shook awake and saw a black snake crawling over her arm. She wasn't scared, but didn't want to get bitten either.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I sometimes forget how much Mary knows about snakes. Aren't they adorable? They are from myself, but wouldn't hurt a fly. Still they could leave an ugly bite if you would treat them wrong. Kenneth snored to loud. There was nothing he could do.Mary has be very friendly to get the snakes of her. You know I would never hurt anybody.
Mary reached out her hand towards the snake on her stomach and stroked him. The snake acted like a cat. She thought it was cute. The snake made a content noise and rolled through her fingers. Mary knew that the snake was unharmfull. The snake would not hurt her.
