Lies.

Nobody knew what they tasted like. But Maggie had had it shoveled into her mouth since the day she controlled the family's pup, and drove it into the middle of the street - where a vehicle wheeled over it.

Forgiveness.

Maggie struggled to coat her heart with the silver paint of forgiveness. She rummaged through her memories and tried to chuck those that were tainted from her mind, yet they remained unwavering. They stood latched, interrupting and blending with the present.

Life.

It was a curse. Maggie's existence was merely a blemish to Earth. What was she doing there? She had no morals that would morph her into a hero, not even a vigilante. Truth blinded her and transformed her into a criminal. And yet, the priests who occasionally visited her cell always attempted to convince her that everything happens for a reason. That God had authored the whole book, wrote everybody's fates.

Yet there she was. Dragged out of the comforts of isolation, thrown into a battlefield with people who were also villains but still had a chance. Left to die.

Or so she thought.

Because God's plans are always unrevealed, and He's all about happy endings.

But will Maggie receive one?

THE END

HELLO!

I would just like to say thank you, for supporting Puppeteer up until now. I have decided to split Puppeteer into two books, because I can't seem to update frequently anymore - and I don't want to put it on hold.

So THANK YOU for supporting the first book, everybody!

But remember, it's not over yet.
