for some weird reason this morning Shawn left his friends said goodbye to them and all and then he said hi to me and started talking to me. it was so unexpected and weird cause I'm so awkward when it comes to boys. But its nice, I've always wanted a boyfriend or a boy who sees things from where I'm standing and be there to support me, but I know that not gonna' happen anytime soon.
It's almost time to go to class and I thanked him for talking to me and standing within 30 centimeters of me, that's a record no one would ever come near me, not even to ask for a pen. So then I start walking off. But he reaches out for my hand and says "wait!". "Yes" I reply "uh" he thinks for a bit, "let's get out of here". I feel resistant at first, "but what about class". "Will one day really matter?" He says. "Come on" he reaches his hand out with a great big smile on his face, now waiting for me to make a choice. We are standing in the middle of the school corridor and it's empty. "We don't have much time, let's go" he repeats this time he seems agitated. "Ok" I say while accepting his hand, "but where will we go anyway?". "Anywhere but here" he chuckles. Right now I'm thinking, did I make the right choice?. I'm still worried about what mum would say or what my teachers would say. "Are you feeling ok?" He says to me looking into my eyes checking to see if I'm ok. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine" I reply nervously. "You sure about that? It sure doesn't look like it" he says supporting with his arm around me. "Well I don't know if this is the right thing to do" I say getting more agitated "it's jut one day, it's ok, just clear your mind this day is a day to be free" he says sounding really inspirational. "Ok" I say while walking out the front entrance. "Come on, hurry we're gonna get caught" he says with a giant smile stuck on his beautiful face.
"This way!" he instructs me where to go. I get in his car and he drives to the nearest park. Pelham Bay Park, its empty, the sun is shinning through the willow trees and the birds are singing their angelic tune. its so beautiful and peaceful here. I had never realized how close and so beautiful this is. "is this spot ok?" Shawn says, while starring into my eyes, "couldn't be better" I reply. he smiles a great smile that made me smile too. "what is it?" i ask him, "well, I've been wanting to tell you from the first day I met you" he pauses for a second "I really really like you" he says nervously probably thinking that I would be weird about him saying that. "Really?" I was so surprised that he had felt that way about me. "why do you say that?" I asked. "what do you mean?" he said back to me, "well, like why would you like me out of all the other girls in the whole entire school?" I told him. "all those other girls only want a guy to have a good body and show it all off, but i want you because you wouldn't have a guy friend to show him off you would probably want a guy just to have a conversation with, or to hold at night, and that's what I want in a girl and i think I've found that in you Elana". "how can you be so sure?" I asked, "I'm not really sure, but I'm willing to take my chances" he says leaning closer towards me for a hug.
