Shawn wasn't feeling too good about today so he lay in bed 'til about 8:00 am but he's usually an early bird. So i surprised him with breakfast in bed. His mother had just passed away and Alessia, Shawn's older sister had to cancel her wedding because she felt she needed to mourn her mother before she started a new chapter in her life which was necessary because I, personally think that if the wedding went on everyone wouldn't feel right showing up. But anyway it's Saturday I'm still pretty sad i didn't really know Marina (Shawn's mother) for some reason I have yet to discover. It still hurts me to see him like this everyday.

The funeral will be on Monday Shawn's whole family will be there I'll finally get an opportunity to know more about Shawn. The funeral was so early because Alessia couldn't have her wedding postponed much longer.

Shawn's sister walks in the room while I was stroking his back for comfort. She knocks quietly on the door "hey, are you doing ok? I mean it's not your mother that's dying, but I see that this is effecting you a bit" she says in a loud whisper. "I hate seeing him like this, he was always that positive person in my life he brought me through my my dark days, everyday he smiled at me that would make me so happy I couldn't believe it how some random guy who i had never met before could make my day by just smiling at me, but how are you doing with it all?" I ask. "I was really close to my mom, she and I would do everything when I was a kid as I grew older i got into the bad boys and parties and we really went our own ways". "But after I grew out of that phase we came back together but then this happened and there are so many things i needed to tell her that i never got the chance to do". She starts sobbing and then leans in for a hug I comfort her and its like i take her under my wing as well as Shawn.

"It's ok, I went through the exact same thing, just when i was a bit younger. My father passed away but I didn't know about it until last year, my mom told me that he left us when he actually died of lung cancer" I told her trying to support her with my story. "I'm so sorry about that" she says with a sympathetic look on Alessia's face. There was almost like a moment of silence, then Alessia wiped the tears off her face and sniffed it all up and said "I have a funeral and my own wedding to plan, but thanks for all the support that you give all of us Shawn, me it's really important to me". She walks away like an angel with no sound, it's like she drifts or levitates away. Shawn wakes while was starring off into the distance as Alessia walked away. I approach him slowly and sit on the bed next to him.

"How you feeling?" I ask in a whisper. "Will you be ok with the funeral and all?" I ask. "Can you make it, 'cause if you can't come I don't think i could get through it" he says almost like he is begging me. "I'll ask" I reply, I walk over to his stereo and press play, time after time by Cyndi Lauper comes on, and then return to sitting next to him on his bed. Laying there thinking about the next coming days Shawn moves in closer I turn to him. "I love you" he says looking straight into my eyes and tucking hairs behind my ears, I smile feeling loved. He moves under my arm and lies there in a hug, "you're the best thing that has ever happened to me". There was finally peace in the room, the weather was cloudy and gloomy but all was well now.
