Chapter 23 : An Eiffel Tower

-POV : Mirajane Strauss-

I changed into my uniform, fix my things and went out of the bathroom. I let Lucy, Erza, Juvia, Lisanna, and Levy go first to Star Hills Mall because I discussed something with Master. I was trying to close my bag’s zipper and was walking hurriedly at the same time and then I bumped into someone, I feel that he or she was tall so I looked up. My eyes widened.

“Laxus…” I muttered.

He smirked. “I love seeing you dancing earlier Mira.”

I feel the hot temperature rising on my cheeks. “Hmph. Whatever.” I said and I walked away from him.

I continue walking and then I heard him gasped. “Mira looked out!” I took one step forward.

I turned back to looked at him. “What?” I saw him running to me and then hugged me, his body covering me and his head bowed to my head, he was inches taller than me and then I heard a splash. He then let go of me and I gasped. He was all wet with water; I looked up and saw a bucket, tied to a rope, which I step on its trap earlier.

“I-I’m sorry Laxus!” I grabbed my towel and gave it to him. “Here.” He let himself wipe his hands, face and hair, while I get the bucket and looked for clues, at the bottom of the bucket, I growled. “Phantom…”I turned to Laxus. “Laxus, you shouldn’t have protected me! Now you’re even involved…” I looked at the other side with shame. H-he did that for me… I can’t believe it… Laxus…

He sighed. “I have to Mira. I have brought some clothes to change. Now you have to go somewhere right? Go now. Don’t worry about me.” He turned and walked the way to the bathroom. I watched him with my mouth open, but then I smiled. Thank you…

I entered McDonalds inside the mall. I bought my own food and I found the table where Lisanna and the others were sitting, I sit beside Jellal and greeted them.

“I’m sorry I’m late and Master has an important discussion with me…” I said with an apologetic smile.

“We understand Mira-nee…” Lisanna said.

I nodded. “Looks like Phantom Lord want to have a game with us…” I looked over at Gajeel and Juvia who bowed their heads down in shame.

“Anyways! We should be celebrating for now.” Lucy said.

“Yeah! Cheers for Fairy Tail High!” Natsu said while raising his McFloat.

“Cheers!” We all did the same. But still, I’m worried on what’s going to happen tomorrow… And on what Master said, ‘You mustn’t let your guard down. They’re hunting us.’

I sighed. And then I saw on the other side of our table is Loke, chatting with a pink haired girl, wearing Blue Pegasus Uniform, has a fair skin, and she I think she has a shy, friendly personality.

“Who’s that?” I said quietly to Gray who was on my opposite side, pointed to the pink haired girl.

He chuckled. “She was our elementary classmate. Aries Celeste. Me and Loke used to hang out with her a lot.”
