The Wall Between Monsters

Chpt. 38: Alice's POV

The filming eventually came to an end and I ran over to Chanyeol. 

"Ready to go." I smiled up at him and said this. He smiled his regular smile, except for some of reason it was larger than expected. 

"Let's go." He grabbed my hand and we walked to the car.

Chanyeol held my hand as we walked at the place where we had our first date. It was still as beautiful as ever, and he was more handsome as ever.

I held his hand a bit tighter, and he just grasped it tighter back. He smiled down at me and took a deep breath out. I put my head somewhat on his shoulder and we walked around the park.

"Alice, how long has it been since we first met?" I thought of his question. It had technically been around three months since we moved in next door to EXO. Since Minah had invited them to dinner, and Kimber managed to get Chanyeol and I on our very first date. Since then, Chanyeol and I usually go on a date every week or so. We also would talk every day, when we could.

"Three months?" I said this to clarify. "Yeah, three months ago." I said this and smiled. 

"That is what I somewhat calculated. It was something I was thinking about while watching you dance." Chanyeol smiled and said this. "You are like the Dancing Queen." I smiled and chuckled.

"Yah, stop it. Kai is the Dancing King, so I can't be the Dancing Queen." I said this thinking of their song Dancing King.

"Yah!! When you put it that way." He chuckled and kissed my cheek. It caught me off guard, and I couldn't compute what happened.

Do I hit him, yell at him, or smile? I chose two. "Yah!" I said this loudly and felt a bit flustered.

"You are cute flustered like that." He said this and laughed. We walked around the restaurant mall and the song Freal Luv Far East Movement featuring Chanyeol was playing. I smiled and looked up at him.

We suddenly walked into the restaurant we first had our second meal together. We had a glass of water and he had a small salad, and I ordered a small soup.

He then paid and we caught another taxi. "Where are we going now?" I whined to him. 

"You will see." He smiled a childish smiled held my hand even tighter. We got out the car and walked into the ice skating rink.

Why are we back here? Now that I notice it, we had been going to all the places we had our dates. Each place we would have a piece of food and take a picture. 

We went everywhere except certain places where we had dates. For example, meeting his family and cooking together. How happy I was that I learned how to cook and Minah wold teach me some things when she refused to cook for me, but it was also my trick into having her cook things for me. We didn't go to the movie little area where we watched Zootopia. We weren't able to make it to the bookstore, nor Han River. 

We laughed and smiled the entire day, just enjoying ourselves. Eventually we ended up at the same place where we started.

The cherry blossom trees. Chanyeol sat me in a single chair in the middle of the park. He then came over and handed me a single thorn-less white bridal rose. This one little rose had multiple meanings. Love at first sight because not a singe thorn was inside of it, I love you for being a single rose, and happy love because of being a white bridal rose. 

He walked to the side and grabbed his guitar. He played my favorite song Do I Wanna Know by Arctic Monkeys. I smiled as I heard his beautiful deep voice sing the song. He sang it differently and softly. A way that I really haven't heard it before. 

After the song Chanyeol came over to me and made me stand up. "When we first met, I asked you a million questions on our dates. Like what your favorite music was, your favorite song, and just things like that." I nodded my head.

"We have very similar taste in music." I smiled and said this. He smiled back down. I got lost in his eyes once again, but was still enough in reality to hear what he was telling me.

"Music is what made our love grow. Our love became one because of music. Through music, I found out things you like to do and things that we had even more in common. May," He said my name. I thought that he had forgotten it, and would not mention it again.

On one of our dates around two weeks ago Chanyeol asked me what my name was.

~~Flashback~~

We walked around Namsangol Traditional Folk Village. We wore traditional Joseon Era clothing so that we could feel like we were living during the era. The two of us had a blast and took hundreds of pictures.

"Alice, can I ask you a question?" Chanyeol turned to me as we toured the palace. 

"You can ask me anything, as long as it don't have to do with my food." I said this with a serious tone, but we still laughed afterwards.

"What is your real name? I mean, I heard it once, with Kimber yelling at you for some reason." I remembered the day Chanyeol was talking about. It was the day where Chanyeol picked me up for a date at 5pm, and we got home two hours later.

"May. My name is May Taven." I had no problem telling him my name, since he was someone I trusted a lot, and someone I really liked. I loved Chanyeol, and felt like I could tell him anything.

"May, I like it. It is a really pretty name. Why don't you go by it?" He asked this.

"My full name is Maybeline, and I wanted to go by Alice. Back in the day Minah would write stories, and my character was always Alice, I just grew to like the name. Plus, it reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. Although, I do like Wendy from Peter Pan, there is already a Wendy in Red Velvet." I said this with a smile.

He mumbled something to himself, and then looked over and smile. "Let's go." We then began walking around the palace more.

"May," Chanyeol smiled and held my hands tighter. He then picked up my hand left and and took off the couple ring. He then took out a chain and put the ring on the chain. 

Chanyeol turned me around and put the necklace on my neck and then turned me back around. "There, now you can wear both rings." He smiled and said this.

"Both rings?" I asked this and felt a buzz come from pocket. How could my phone ring now?

"May Taven, will you become May Park, for me?" He then got on one knee, and I had no idea how to react. I felt like the whole world stopped and I was going to scream and cry. 

"Um.." My phone was bothering me and continued to buzz. I wanted to ignore it, but if it buzzes more than once it is important and Manager Song. "This is an emergency, could I pick it up?" 

How could I ruin it like this? "Okay." He said this with no problem.

I picked up the phone in a bit of anger. "What is it?" I asked the question.

"Get down to SM now! It is about TMPD." I knew it was important and hung up.

"I have to go to SM now." I said this with a sad face. 

"I can take you there. We can get back to this later, I promise." He seemed really calm about this and seems to understand what an emergency this is.

We got into the car and made our way to SM. "Chanyeol, about the proposal-"
