Kyson stopped by today, with his friend Cameron. They were at the soccer field and came here.
"Issac, you need anything before we leave?" Kyson says, sitting down next to me on the couch.
"No, but where are you going?" I ask.
"Hospital," he says.
"Why?" I ask.
"Cameron," he says.
"What about him?" I ask.
"Kyson for the last time. It doesn't hurt. Okay? I feel fine," Cameron says. I didn't realize he was in the room. "Issac, you don't need to worry about me."
"I'm not an expert, but can I see your hand?" I ask.
"No-"
"Yes," Kyson says.
"Fine," Cameron says. He then comes behind the couch and puts his hand so I can reach it. I then take his wrist and start looking at his hand.
It's mostly bruised in between his thumb and his wrist. That means he might have a broken metacarpal on his thumb (A/N metacarpal is a bone in each of your fingers, including your thumb and pinky) or he could have a broken trapezium (A/N trapezium is also a bone in your hand). Or even both. I gently press down on that part.
"Shit!" He shouts and pulls his hand away.
"Yeah, I'm taking you wether you like it or not," Kyson says.
"Am I the only one who has, for the most part, a clean mouth?" I say half joking.
"Eh... I guess, but I've never heard you swear," Kyson says.
"Yeah. Every time I've seen you at school, you've never sworn. I learned it from my parents. And some of my friends, like Kyson," Cameron says.
"Well fuck both of you," I say, "Not literally, but you know what I mean."
"Okay, okay, Issac," Kyson says.
"Yep, got it," Cameron says. He winces. Now what the hell is he doing?
"Cameron. What the hell are you doing to yourself?" Kyson asks. I guess he noticed too.
"Huh? Nothing," he says.
"Kyson, maybe you should take him," I say.
"Yeah, I'll see you later Issac. Cameron you're coming with me right now," Kyson says sternly. Cameron doesn't say anything but waves goodbye. I wave to both of them. They then walk out, closing the door behind them. I hope Cameron is okay. He plays on the school soccer team. He's not captain, but he's extremely good. I take my phone out of my pocket and open Kyson's text conversation.
Me: I know it was you.
He doesn't respond.
I wait for another 10 minutes... Then I realize that he's probably at the hospital with Cameron. Oh whoops.
