unknown;

did she really want to know?
i was honestly concerned that she'd pass out if i told her.

my sole mission was to get her out of here safely. guess this would be harder than i thought.

better now than later.

"your friend cameron, he uh.." i start.
"just tell me!" she screams.

jeez okay, okay!

"they were planning on killing him tonight." i say straightforwardly.
i see her entire face go pale.
her eyes snap shut as if she wanted to escape the situation.

a tear falls all the way down to her chin.
"why him?" she asks, looking up with watery brown eyes.

"he was a target. that's all i can say." i answer. i couldn't let her know.. she'd go insane.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT'S ALL YOU'LL SAY?" she yells, making me flinch.

her eyes hold a strong fury..
the fury that i once felt.

"calm your tits woman." i tell her, getting fed up with this.

does she want to escape or not?

"and who are they?" she asks, holding an unreadable expression.

"the CAG organization."
Celebrity Assassination Group.
Known for causing the "sudden disappearance" of several celebrities.

"so they just decided to kill him? just like that? but why would they even think of killing a kind-hearted guy like cameron? what did he ever do?" she asks, searching desperately for an answer.

so. many. questions.

"let's just say that his magcon friends weren't his real friends.." i trail off, not wanting to spill out even more devastating information.

"i think i'm ready to leave." she says blankly, looking at the floor.

she makes a move to walk, but begins screaming really loudly. she falls, catching herself with her arms and only hitting her cheek on the cold, hard floor of johnny's "guest room".

how the hell was i going to get her out of this mess?

i pull her up by the hand, and pulls her hand away as soon as she's safe standing.
she looks away to the floor.
why was she so interested in the floor?

"maeve. look at me." i turn her by the shoulder to look at me, her brown eyes holding an unexplainable fear.

"i will get you out of here safely, trust me. just hang in there," i reassure her honestly. i really hoped she would trust me.

"w-why are you helping me?" she stutters, looking down at the floor.

"i'll tell you later," i hate to say, but i know that i shouldn't reveal anything until later.

i grab her by the hand as she hops behind me out of the door.
this place was like a huge maze.

"hey, hold up." she suddenly stops, almost falling over before i steady her.
"is this that kidnapper's place?" she asks suspiciously.

"johnny? yes." i answer.

she looks shocked for a second, but then regains herself.

"let's get out of here." she states with a surprisingly determined voice.

"okay, let's do this."
