maeve;

i was waiting and panicking at the same time.
walking in little circles is not a good idea.
because i eventually became very dizzy and almost threw up on the floor.

ding! - dong!

i walk to the door and look out the peephole.

i see him.
looking fine as ever.

i open the door slowly and smile when i finally come face to face with him.

"hey. it's really you." i say.

he laughs. a laugh overwhelming me with the chills.

"yup. right here right now." he replies.

we stare at each other in silence.

i finally break the awkward silence by making it even more awkward.

"i- uh- your eyes are amazing. i- mean- gotta go! bye!" i say loudly like an elephant while slamming the door.

"ow!" i hear.

save me now.

i open the door to see cameron holding his nose while scrunching up his eyelids.

"oh shit! sorry!" i say quickly before running into the bathroom to get a bandage.

i sprint back, ready to give him the bandage when i fucking slip on the floor and land face first into his chest, making him fall onto the stairs.

"ow!" we both scream.

what an embarrassing day.

"i'm so sorry. i swear." i say.

then he starts laughing.

wow what a nice guy.

i start laughing along to make things less awkward.

"that was- hilarious." he says, not able to keep in his continuous laughter.

by the time we got up from the floor, we had already laughed for a straight five minutes.

"what an entrance." he chuckles.

"aaannnd that is why i don't have friends." i say honestly.

"you mean, that's why you have one friend. but he's the best guy in the world so it doesn't even matter." he replies jokingly.

i love how he can just suddenly make a bad situation a good situation.

"let's head inside." i suggest.

cameron nods while following me into the house.

"a heads up, if my mom comes home, we are literally screwed." i inform.

"good to know." he replies.

we continue to talk about life, social media, and singing.

"i had a great time, but i gotta go sleep." he says with an upset tone in his voice.

"it's fine, i do too. good thing my mom hasn't come home yet." i laugh.

"okay, see you next time." he says, getting up to head out the door.

"cameron, wait." i say quickly, not wanting him to leave just yet.

he turns around and before he can say anything, i give him a hug.

"thank you for getting my mind off things."
