Continued

   I took her hand and I limped along with the two as we went through the woods, about three hours until nightfall.

"We need to find somewhere to stay" Holly said

"Yea we do"Jane agreed

   We kept on walking until we came to an open field with a farm house in the middle.

"Well that's convenient" I said

"Lucky us" Jane said

   We crept up to the front door and knocked...nothing. Jane glanced over at me so I looked back. She stared into my eyes and I could tell she wanted to kick down the door. I nodded in reply. I watched as she took a step back raised her foot and kicked the door down in one swift move, the door coming off the hinges.
   The door then smashed something onto the ground. I looked at the ramped door.

"Ggrrruuhh"

   I wrapped my hands around the sides of the door and pulled the heavy thing up, then slammed it down onto the biter once again. The room went quiet.

"That's better" I said and limped over and sat on the reddish couch.

"You wait here, Holly and I will search this place."Jane said"take the basement" she said pointing to the basement door off to the side.

   Holly sighed and walked over to the door. She turned the knob and opened it half way before something slammed into it forcing it into her chest. A old bitten hand came from the crack and grabbed her left arm.

"Eeek!" She shrieked.

   She body slammed the door and the force pinched the arm clean off, followed by the sound of the biter tumbling down the stairs. Holly stood against the door breathing hard.
   After about a minute she turned around and placed her hand on the knob once more. After a few seconds she flung the door open, she jumped backwards as it slammed into the wall. Standing at the base of the stairs were sixteen biters.

"Uhuhuh" Holly quivered

   I shot up as she backed up and they just came forwards.

"Mom!" Holly called

"Jane help!" I called

   I heard quick footsteps coming down the stairs

"What's wro- oh!" She said in shock."come on!" She said running for the steps

   Holly ran up besides me to help me up the steps. I leaned against her as I slowly went up the steps, The groans behind us.

"Come on!"Holly said"we can do this!" She yelled as we reached the top of the steps.

   We got into the hallway, up ahead Jane was kicking down a door. Holly turned her head around.

"Oh shoot!" She yelled and shoved me to Jane.

   I flew forwards rapidly, then I felt Jane's arms wrap around mine, pulling me to my feet. Holly was already inside, I limped in after her. Jane ran in after us and slammed the door. With a creak it slightly came open, the lock was busted.

"Shoot" I mumbled" barricade the door!" I yelled as they started breaking in, I jumped Infront and held it shut

   The girls slid the bed into place, the dresser beside it, they threw a nightstand on top of that, then a chair. I backed up slowly,she banging continued but the stuff didn't budge. I sighed in relief.

"We don't have a weapon, just food" I said"let's hope that stays, we have about two weeks worth of food" I said.

   I glanced over at Jane who was turned away, something was off. I crept over and grabbed her, spinning her around. I started down at what appeared to be a bloody bite mark
