   It was now Friday, everyone knew everyone by this point and my group had actually taken showers, something I thought was gone. I was walking to the infirmary to get my check up for my chest when I spotted Cris, Johnathan and James talking around the gate, then they motioned me over.
I quickly walked over to the group of guys.

"What's going on?" I asked

"Johnathan wanted to take you and him on a scavenging trip" Cris said

"So a supply run?" I asked

"Yeah I found a nearby town that I haven't searched" Johnathan said

"Why take me? Why not your brother?" I asked him

"We only have three guards and two must be here at all times...So I suggested that I bring you." He replied

   I nodded my head once"okay, I'm in" I replied

"Here, you'll need this" he said handing me a revolver.

   I took the revolver and put it in my pocket"when are we heading out?" I asked

"As soon as you're ready to head out" he replied

"Okay, hold on I just need to check on my chest" I said

"Very well, I'll be waiting right here for you" he said.

   I turned around and quickly jogged off to the infirmary. I walked up to the door and opened it.

"Good morning Eric" Crissy greeted

"And good morning to you too Crissy" I smiled

"Charles! Your patient is here!" She called

   Charles walked into the room"of  course, this way" he said

   I followed him upstairs into one of the bedrooms then sat down on the bed.

"How's it feel?" He asked

"It hurts a little bit, I can walk and jog just fine, but when I full out sprint it starts to hurt pretty bad." I replied

"Like I said, the bullet had got lodged in your rib cage and had shattered the bone. We where able to fill it with metal thankfully but it will be a while until you can actually run" he replied.

"Well yea, I figured that part out. The real question is am I able to go on a supply run?...Like now?" I asked

"If you don't sprint your heart out then yes." He replied.

"May I go?" I asked.

"Hold on, were gonna take an X-ray" he said.

   He pulled down the projector and then slid over a big bulky magnifying glass thingy that wasn't see through. I took off my shirt as he put up the device. I stared at the White wall as it shot my X-ray. My rib cage with a huge grey spot in the middle of it.

"Looking good, you can go" he said

   I stood up and walked out of the house then back to the gates.

"Ready?" Johnathan asked

"Ready" I replied

"Okay" he said happily and threw on a large camping back pack.

   James walked over after cracking open the gate for us"Be careful"

"No promises" Johnathan replied

   James lightly punched him on the shoulder then walked over to the gate.

"C'mon if we hurry, we can be back before nightfall" Johnathan said as we headed for the gate
