Chapter 31

Lina's Pov

During the whole ride I was silent. To silent for my taste in liking, for me even, and I do say I'm quite quiet. But, I do know that if I do say one word I'll scream, and not a quiet scream, a loud scream. Joey has looked back at me like every second and it's pissing me off. I don't know why though? I just broke my leg, or foot, ok idk what I broke, I'm not a doctor ok. I think foot though. Anyways it's no big deal, its not like I'm going to die from pain, I've already experienced the worst of it. Every single type of it.

I look out of the window as people stare at me, or at the car, idk.

Well anyways here I am in the back of a rental car, flipping people off like I'm crazy, which I am... But, I don't know why Joey hasn't realized that yet, it's like he's on drugs or something, completely oblivious to what happens in the world. Joey pulls up into a parking lot of this hospital, that seems familiar, too familiar. Oh wait I know, I've been stuck in this hospital once, for 6 months. Yup. 6 freaking months. 6 months of my horrid life wasted here. I'm sick of hospitals. Breaking my leg or foot or idk I'll just shut up, it's causing me to be even crazier.

Joey's Pov

I try not to laugh as Lina continues to flip off strangers. It's just funny ok. Anyways her face turns into a face of utter disgust as I pull into the hospital parking lot. Ughhh this trip to the hospital is going to be great (noting the sarcasm). Lina passes out in my arms as I carry her to the ER entrance and nurses rush to my side.

"What happened her sir?" This nurse asks me, looking at me like I'm a god or something. Her blonde hair is pulled up into a bun and her blue eyes try to dazzle me, trying to lure me in.

"We were out camping and she left the cabin, I went to go find her and found her on the ground." I tell the nurse looking around uncomfortably as she continues to stare at me.

"Oh, camping alone, or...With friends?" She asks as she pulls a pen from her pocket and preparing to write something on a notepad.

"Friends."

"Good." She mutters, completely oblivious that I heard her. What does she mean by "Good?"

I sit in a waiting room chair, trying to ignore this nurse. My girlfriend broke a bone and here she is, trying to lure me in to her evil wrath. This is why I hate hospitals. The nurse looks at me like she asked a question.

"What?" I ask in an annoyed tone.

"I asked...What is your name?"

"Joey. Joey Graceffa." I tell her and she writes it down. Adding a heart to the end of my name. Oh gosh.

"Relation?"

"Boyfriend." I say and her face falls.

"Oh."

She walks away slowly, taking one last glance at me before hurrying around the corner. Thank the lords she left.

I lean my body on one side of the waiting room chairs. Why did Lina leave the cabin? Knowing that she could have been hurt? She could've just woken me up, I would've came, no matter what time it was. Anything for her. She's my other half. My other part.

I rest my head on my hand when I get a text, my phone buzzing in m pocket.

Cat: I heard what happened to Lina. Is she alright?

Me: I don't know, we just got here, I'll update you later.

Cat: Well tell her I said get better for me please!!!

Me: ok I will, I see a doctor coming up to me, text ya back in a bit.

"Joey?" The male doctor approaching me asks, his broad shoulders showing boldly through his... er outfit.

"That's me, is everything fine with my girlfriend?" I ask jumping up with concern, causing my phone to fall off my lap.

"Yes everything is fine, she's asleep right now, you can wait in her room though."

"Ok." I pick up my phone and follow the doctor to room 205. He holds the door open for me and I step in, sitting on one of the chairs next to the hospital bed.

Once I hear the door shut I pick up Lina's hanging hand, kissing its back and holding it in between mine.

She stirs in her sleep, groaning and swatting her arm in the air, like something is above her. I close my eyes, only to fall asleep in a second.

Lina's Pov

I open my eyes to a white ceiling, not like the dark wooden one in the cabin. I look to my side to see an asleep Joey, holding my hand. I look down at the cast on my leg, a cast that is going to haunt me forever. They all do. Joey's soft snores fill the room as he sleeps soundly, like he isn't even in a hospital, like he isn't in a room where the monitors are beeping, so annoyingly. I groan and his eyes face darts up, like he was acting like he was asleep, or was he?

"Lina, you're awake." He says sighing. Of course I am. I mean I am seeing him now ain't I?

"Of course I am, I'm always awake." I tell him as a nurse walks into the room.

She licks her lips as she looks at Joey before turning to me.

"Oh... you're awake." She sneers.

"The heck I am." I mutter. Gosh, this nurse isn't friendly.

"I'll go get the doctor, I don't like...Rude girls." She says walking out of the room, swaying her hips like it's attractive. Oh, so I'm the rude one?

Joey looks at me and while trying to hide a laugh.

"Lina, why are you sooooo rude?" He groans and I laugh. Gosh, even when I'm in a hospital I laugh.

"I don't know," I mutter shrugging my shoulder, playing along. "Maybe I was just born that way?"

He laughs and I crack a smile.
