Chapter 40

Lina's Pov

I turn my head to the side to see Joey, anger plastered on his face, making it look like steam is coming out of his nose.

He looks at me and smiles then frowning again looking at Junior.

"Well, well, well isn't it Joey." Junior says smirking, "what a pleasant surprise!"

"To bad I don't feel the same way." Joey says cocking his head to the side.

"Well that's too bad!" Junior says sarcastically and walking over to me.

"Don't go near her." Joey growls and his eyes turning to a dark green.

Junior takes another step towards me.

"Like this?"

"Yes like that you dumbass."

"What would you do if I did this?" Junior asks moving my head to the side, exposing the neck. What the heck is he doing?

"Don't!" Joey yells as Junior leans down to my neck and I feel a sudden pain erupt in my neck, I scream.

All I see is Joey attack Junior as my vision blurs with tears of pain. A burning sensation trails down my throat, coating it, making it hard to breath.

I hear a crash, then a sound that's the sound glass makes when it breaks.

I feel liquid trail down my neck and my hand automatically reaches up. I bring my hand down to my blurred vision and all I see is red.

Blood.

Joey's Pov

I kneel down beside Lina and push her bloodied hand from her face, holding it I'm my hands.

She screams and the pain in my heart explodes from the sound. She writhes on the ground.

"Don't worry, it'll be all right." I whisper to her, leaning down to her neck. I poke my fangs in the already made holes and attempt to suck the venom out. She squirms under my grip before calming down. I pull away and look at her face. Her eyes are closed and he pale skin starts to brighten up. She isn't transforming is she? Was I to late?

I grip her cold hand and stare at her beautiful self.

Lina's Pov

Relief. Relief was all I felt when Joey leaned down to my neck. I don't know what he was doing though?

I close my eyes as I feel by body weaken and I squirm when an uncomfortable rush of pulling is rushing towards my neck, almost like my blood was. being sucked.

I take this time to think... Why did Junior bite my neck? Was he a vampire?

No vampires don't exist, that's impossible. But, what if its true? Is Joey a vampire too? My body begins to regain strength and I open my eyes to See Joey above me.

"Joey, what are you?"
