Chapter Twelve - When It's Dark Out

*December 4, 2015*
(Adela's POV!)
"Ready?" I asked Gerald smiling.

"As I'll ever be." He quickly replied.

Gerald's album 'When It's Dark Out' was released today and he's having a signing. It's been so crazy. He released some tracks early and his fans have been so supporting. We walked into the CD shop through the back doors. We walked to the back and saw that his crew was already here, including his mom Suzanne and his brother James. I quickly went up to them and gave them a hug.

"Hey sweetie, Gerald told me you started your new job at the high school. How is it so far?" She said as she hugged me.

"It's great. The kids are so nice. I'm so happy. It's a little crazy but we're just going along with everything." I told her smiling.

"That's great! I'm glad. There's so many people out there, it's crazy." She quickly told me.

We all walked up to Gerald again and kind of just stood behind him. They were telling him the basics and that security would be with him at all times. He looked back at me and smiled.

Life has been so crazy but so amazing. I started my new job at a high school in LA and the kids are awesome. No one really knows that I'm with Gerald. I've kept my personal life, very personal. I'm just so happy I'm doing what I've always wanted to do. I'm happy seeing Gerald go through all of this. He deserves this.

They soon started to slowly let fans in. He would take pictures with them, sign autographs, and of course sign many boobs. We were there for more than 5 hours. They were slowly starting to close everything down. There was still so many people in line but due to safety hazards, they couldn't let anymore people in.

"You guys are going to have to be escorted through the front. There's people in the back and it's easier to just get a truck to get all of you guys in the front." The head of security said.

They slowly went inside and made a little passage for us. Gerald grabbed my hand and grabbed me close.

"Yo someone make sure my mom is good! Stay with my mom and brother till they're in the truck." Gerald told a security guard.

Gerald held onto my hand tightly and we slowly walked out. Fans were going crazy. Gerald just put his free hand out to wave at everyone. I looked around and smiled.

"G-Eazy! G-Eazy! G-Eazy!" Everyone cheered.

The security guards kept all of us close. We quickly got into the truck. Once we were all in the truck they quickly closed the door. They slowly started to drive away. Gerald lowered his window down a bit and waved at his fans. He looked at everyone with so much excitement. He looked like a little kid.

"Yo this is so crazy!" He said out loud.

"All for you G." James quickly said.

I could tell Gerald was getting a bit emotional. A tear started to come down his face but he quickly wiped it away.

"This is amazing. This is why I do this man." He said smiling as he continued to look out the window.

The driver soon dropped us off at our house. All of us were going to hang out here for a bit and then we were going to have a party at 1OAK that Gerald is hosting for his release. We all went into the house and our friends and Gerald's family made themselves comfortable. A lot of the guys went and changed. I went upstairs and started to change. Soon Gerald came into the bedroom. He sat on the bed and looked down at his hands for a while.

"You okay?" I asked him.

"Yeah, I'm great. It's just, it's kind of unbelievable you know. I worked so hard and to see all those people out there was so incredible." He said as he looked at me.

I walked over to him. When I was in front of him he quickly put his arms around my waist. He rested his head against my tummy. I carefully ran my fingers through his hair.

"Gerald, you're amazing. You deserve all of this. I've told you this before. Everyone down stairs is so proud of you. Your fans are proud of you. I'm proud of you." I told him.

He hugged me tighter. I slowly put my hand under his chin and moved it up so he could look at me. I leaned in and put my lips against his.

"I love you Adela, so much." He said as he held on to me.

"I love you too Gerald." I told him smiling.

Gerald held me a little longer. I could tell he just wanted to feel grounded and in the moment. I let him have his moment and then quickly went to go get ready. I wore a nice white blouse and a leather skirt with black heels. I put on a little black bow necklace. I touched up my makeup and walked out of the bathroom and back into our bedroom. Gerald was wearing his signature black leather jacket with black ripped jeans and a plain black t-shirt. When he saw me he just stared at me.

"God damn was I blessed." He said as he looked at me from head to toe.

I started to laugh. He walked over to me and grabbed my hand. We walked downstairs again and had a couple of drinks with everyone. Soon the limo was here and we all slowly started to get in. Gerald and I got in last. We were soon on our way to the club. I soon got a phone call from Marlene telling me she was on her way to the club too. Gerald convinced Marlene and her boyfriend, Christian to come down to California to celebrate with us. I was already so excited to see her.

Everyone started to make toasts for Gerald and we all drank champagne. Soon we arrived at the club and started to head on the red carpet the club had set up. Gerald and I took a lot of pictures together. He stepped away so they could take individual pictures of us.

"Adela are you proud of Gerald!?" I heard a cameraman ask.

"Of course!" I quickly said smiling but kept walking.

Gerald came up to me and grabbed my hand again. We walked into the club and it was already packed. As we walked into the club Gerald's song 'You Got Me' was playing. It was like a perfect song because it was like 20 of us literally walked up together. Everyone was cheering and clapping. We were lead to the VIP area and I saw Marlene was already there with her boyfriend. I quickly ran up to her and hugged her.

"I'm so happy you guys are here!" I told her and then hugged Christian.

"Bro you look hot as fuck!" Marlene told me laughing.

"Gee thanks." I told her laughing.

It was so loud in the club and the dance floor was already packed. We sat down and had a couple of drinks with everyone. They were playing a lot of Gerald's songs. Soon J.Coles song 'Work Out' came on. Gerald quickly came over to me and grabbed my hand. He led me onto the dance floor and put his arms around me.

"Remember when we had just started dating and we listened to this in the pool." He told me in my ear.

I smiled and nodded at him. I started to dance and Gerald followed my rhythm. I went in front of Gerald and danced. I put his face close to mine and kissed my cheek. A smile went across my face. I felt people taking pictures but I didn't care. I turned around to face him again.

"Straight up now tell me do you really wanna love me forever? Oh, oh, oh, or is it just a hit and run?" I sang close to his ear.

I felt him smile against my cheek. He quickly leaned in and put his lips against mine. When the song was done he grabbed my hand and we made our way back to our VIP area. Everyone was having so much fun. I danced a lot with Marlene which I love because I haven't actually partied with her since my brothers wedding.

Gerald had his photographers with him and his cameraman recording all of us for his vlogs and recap videos. I was already use to his whole crew since they were always at the house too. Gerald and I took a lot of pictures together. I felt really happy and I was letting loose. I was dancing a lot and I took shots to celebrate with everyone. Gerald was so happy. He danced with me and was always holding my hand.

I couldn't be more proud. Gerald has worked so hard and he deserves this so much. I'm so blessed.
