"Honey, it appears that there is a message for you." His mom stated as she looked at me, worry clear in her eyes.

"Yes it appears, your pack managed to track you to the silver sun prides lands, your mom and dad wished to see you." Thorn interrupted.

"My parents!?" I couldn't help but yell, I was still furious about what they had done, stripping me of my title, that's even worse than saying 'you aren't good enough.' To a child, you just don't do that. By this point, I was pacing the floor, not really delighted at the thought of seeing them again. Samael felt my agitation, and placed a calming hand on my shoulder.

"Hey, seeing your parents again may be a good thing, you did run away, they're probably worried." He stated, looking deep into my eyes, as if pleading with me, I know that he has a strong bond with his mom, and probably did with his dad as well, and he probably wanted me to have the same, so I just couldn't say no.

I let out a long, exasperated sigh, and replied, "fine, when and where?"

"Actually, that's the fun part, they asked, well, demanded really, that you return home..." Thorn trailed off, his head held low, probably scared I was going to lash out at him.

"Seriously? They really believe that they have any control over me at all now? I am not a wolf, he has no power over me." I stated, annoyed that they would try to boss me around, I figured that the fact that I left would have kinda burnt the bridge that allowed them to call me their daughter, though apparently that hadn't clicked yet.

"Yeah, about that, he threatened to attack the pride, thing is, he knows that we could easily destroy them, Sasha, he's threatening to send his own pack, to their deaths, you have to go see them, or risk the death of a whole pack, the one you grew up with."

My eyes were as big as saucers, I probably looked like I had seen a ghost, would he really do that? I mean, he had been a great alpha, of course he would, I was his only daughter, I should have known he would do something stupid if I just up and left!

"Fine, I'll see him." I stated.

"Okay, well I'm going too, if they make you angry, and you lose control, you'll need someone there to help you, I mean, I know tigreigns have more control than dragons, but you are pretty powerful." Samael stated, I was glad that he wanted to go too, I would probably need him there to calm me down if they did make me angry, which was very likely.

"Sir, should I notify Kaine?" Asked Thorn.

"No, that won't be necessary, I won't be gone long, maybe a day or two, just stay with the castle for now, you will be acting in my place until I return, Kaine may be my third in command, but he has other matters that need to be tended to." I hated to keep the secret from my mate, but ever since I discovered that the person who I was destined to be with, was being hunted by Vladimir himself, well, I just had to do something about it. Though I still can't believe what I said, before the discovery of her being my mate.

FLASHBACK

"Sir, we have some new information, regarding Vladimir, it turns out, that there is another tigreign out there, a tiger, he is looking for her, to complete the ritual." Stated Thorn.

"Why does it even matter? I mean, he's beaten me once, how am I supposed to beat him!?" I asked angrily, slamming my fists on my desk, then, I continued, "Just let him have her." Vladimir and I had fought once before, he managed to find dragon  blood pure enough, that he was able to defeat even me, and in truth, he was also, the one who killed my father. I told everyone that it was the wolves, so that the other were-beasts wouldn't know that a monster like Vladimir existed, the first of the abominations known as vampires. They are one of the most powerful creatures this world has to offer, with their ability to steal someones very life force, if they drink the blood of a powerful being, such as myself, or any other dragon or were-beast for that matter, they then gain all the powers that they had to offer.

"With all due respect sir, you know of the prophecy, and what he intends to do, someone like him, can not be allowed to become a god, if he does, it could mean the end of everything, are you sure you know what you are doing, sir?" He asked cautiously, his head bowed to me, with fear radiating off him, he knew that questioning his king was practically begging to be killed, but even so, he dared to, because he knew that if he didn't talk some sense into me, he'd probably end up dead anyways.

I was pacing by this point, not sure what to do anymore, I had already fought him, and lost, he was the only person who had ever managed to defeat me in true combat, I was already more powerful than my father by the time I was twelve, though no one was permitted to know that, other than the two of us, not even my mom. I angrily ran my hands through my hair, trying to think of all the possibilities, what could I do? I mean, this guy was thought to be nothing more than a legend, believed to have been killed thousands of years ago. He, has had thousands of years to gather power, resources, even his accursed army! Then, a thought came to me, and I wiped my hand over my face in frustration.

"Thorn, where, do you think this tigreign will go?"

"Sir? Oh um, well she would probably try to find a pride, I mean, the cats enjoy being around others like them, just as much as any other were beast."

"Yes, precisely. Do you know where the tigreign was spotted?"

"From the Intel I've gathered, it appears she is somewhere around the black moon pack, sir, though it can't be said for sure whether she is a pack member, a visitor, or if she is a member of one of the neighboring prides or packs around that area."

"I see, the silver sun pride, isn't far from there, are they, and they are allies of ours?" I asked, still mulling over my plan, wondering if it was just crazy enough to work.

"Yes sir, they are the closest allies we have to the black moon pack."

"Very well, I want you to go there immediately, do not, and I repeat, do not, under any circumstances, tell anyone the real reason why you are there, we don't want a mass panic on our hands, we need to deal with him as quickly and quietly as possible, the only ones to know of him at the moment, will be the dragons, send messengers to the other dragon colonies, tell them, prepare for war."

With that, he bowed, and left in a puff of smoke, I returned to my desk, where I leaned back in my chair with the morning light bathing me in its warm gleam, using my arm to cover my eyes. "Ugh, what have I gotten myself into, battling a creature with the power to become a god."

'Samael, do not think of yourself as a lesser being, we were forged from the gods as well, you would do well to remember that!' Growled my dragon.

'Yes, I know Typhonike, but even you realize, that Vladimir is in a league all his own, he's an abomination.'

'Yes, but I have a feeling about this tigreign, I'm not sure what it is but we're, connected to her some how, I'm not sure what it is, but if she does join forces with us, we might just beat Vladimir. With her, the gods will surely be on our side.'

END OF FLASHBACK

We got ready for the long trip ahead, I gathered a few of my things, as well as a few snacks and my credit card, as she gathered a few things as well, and threw them into our book bags, we shifted back into our beast forms, and were off, to the black moons pack.
