I flew for what felt like hours, though I didn't mind, when I was flying through the skies, I didn't even feel cold, and luckily I was never afraid of heights, when I was flying, I felt, free. I made my way to a small town probably twenty or so miles away from the pack territory, it was kind of hard to tell distance at the height I was flying, so it could have been much further, though I did know it was out of range of my mom and dads mind link, so I was happy. I checked into this little motel, with this weird clerk who decided it was smart for a twenty or so year old guy, to hit on a girl who just turned eighteen. This was actually my first time being out of the pack village, and man, did it feel good, I never knew that the world was so big, maybe, without being tethered to the pack, I could actually explore, so maybe there were a few good things about me being a tigreign.
On my way to my room, I ended up bumping into a couple kids. "Oh sorry, I really should pay-" But before he finished his sentence, he looked at me, and his jaw dropped, I just kinda stood there with a confused look on my face.
"Umm, hi, my names Sasha, and you are?" I asked politely, reaching out my hand, expecting him to take it, though instead, he dropped to his knees, and replied.
"A-a alpha werecat, I never thought that I would ever see one up close, I-I'm not worthy", and he turned his head to the side, moving the hair over that was slightly covering his neck, showing ones neck to another is the ultimate sign of submission among not only wolves, but all were-beasts, and yes, there are more than just wolves and cats, there are even dragons, bears, and well, just about any animal you could think of, I mean, think about those cats and dogs that save people, some of them are normal, but most, are actually people who turn into cats or dogs, though humans don't know that.
"Umm, who are you, exactly?" I asked, as if this experience wasn't already awkward enough.
"Oh, forgive me, my name is Jackson, I am a member of the silver sun pride, located a few miles South of here, given your scent, I'm assuming you're a rogue?"
"Umm, yeah, but I just left my pack not that long ago, I was in line to-"
"Wait, pack? You were part of a wolf pack!? Wow, you're lucky to be alive, most wolves hate us cats."
"Oh, I-I didn't know that, though it would explain why everyone started treating me weird after they found out."
"Mhmm, though, I'm sure our pride leader would be more than happy to let you join, he's really nice, especially to rogues, well, at least the good ones."
"Hmmm, you know what? I might have to take you up on that, you know I was-"
"Great, we can go right now!" He interrupted again, he was starting to irritate me a bit, though I could tell he was pretty young, probably twelve or thirteen, so I let it slide, and went along with him as he practically dragged me along to his room. "Mom, look who I found!" Yelled the child as he presented me to his mom.
"Jackson, who's your, a-a alpha?" She asked, eyes wide, and body tense.
I put my hands up in front of me, trying to show that I meant no harm, but I moved a bit too quickly and caused her to jump a bit, "look, I'm not going to hurt you, your son, told me that you all are part of a pride? Well, I would be very interested in joining, if you could show me the way, that is."
She stayed frozen, practically in a trance for a moment, then she managed to shake it off, and reaplied, "Oh, yeah umm, I could take you there now, if you wish, just please, don't-don't hurt anyone, please."
"You have my word." Was my response, I then gave the kindest smile that I could muster, trying to show that I wasn't a threat.
"Okay, umm Jackson, you tell daddy when he gets out of the shower, that mommy had to go back to the pride real quick, but I'll be back soon."
