"Everyone, leave, I wish to be with my queen!" Sam roared, ordering everyone else to leave the balcony, and return to their respective duties.

"Come on, we'll go to my room, I'm sure you'd like some food and rest, after what I'm sure you went through." I tilted my head a bit, not sure what he meant, but I stayed right by his side, knowing that he needed the comfort that only I could provide, his heart slowed considerably once he actually realized it was me, and I was happy that I was able to calm him. We reached his room, and I began shifting into my human form, while he went to retrieve a pair of clothes for me. He handed them to me, and turned around, probably to prevent losing control, he probably thought they had beaten me or something.

"Okay, I'm dressed." I stated, and I could see him visually relax at the sound of my voice, he turned around, and looked into my eyes, but the look on his face was one of confusion.

"Sasha, what happened, to your eyes? They're, purple." Was all he said, he managed to confuse me for a minute, until I remembered my dream, the purple eyes must be a side effect of having the moon goddesses power.

"Oh, that's actually the story I was gonna tell you about!" I replied, a little overly excited. "Turns out, I now have all the powers of the moon goddess, well, at least until we defeat Vlad, I got to meet her, she want's me to beat him, to save the world, but she said I could only do so, if I have her powers."

"Wait, so you're saying that a God, loaned you their power? Why?" Was all he said, he seemed just as confused as I was by their actions.

"Actually, it wasn't just any God, it was the moon goddess, she told me, that I had proven myself worthy of being a God, even offered me a seat right then, but I would have had to leave you, and I, I couldn't do that, so she loaned me her power, because Vlad has gotten way out of hand, and it would apparently take a God to kill him."

"Oh, um... Wow that's a bit much to take in." He seemed completely lost in thought now, "what made them decide that they want you to be a God though?" Was the next thing he asked in a hushed voice, almost like he was talking to himself.

"Oh, from where I took on and basically defeated Nidhogg, she said I had a heart filled with valor, and a soul forged of fire, she said I had proven myself worthy in battle, probably because of how powerful he was, and where I was the only one not scared of him."

"Wow, that's pretty impressive but I'm kinda sad that I kept you from becoming a goddess, I mean, that has got to be the highest honor you can get." He replied, happy that she was still with him, but also sad that she didn't get to become a goddess.

"What are you talking about Sam? I would give up being a goddess a thousand times over, if it meant being with you." I knew it sounded cheesy, but it was true, I didn't desire power, all I wanted, was him. I wrapped my arms around him, and pulled him close, never wanting to let go.

"I know, but the gods can't be wrong, if they offered you a seat, being a goddess is your real destiny, it's what you were meant for." Was his reply as he gently stroked my hair, making me purr at the feeling.

"I know, I'll still be a goddess, just not yet, I will defeat Vlad, as a warrior, not a god." I knew, in my heart, that I could beat him, I was now looking Sam in the eyes, showing him the seriousness and determination I had to defeat Vlad.

He smiled down at me, "Okay, but you won't beat him, not without me at your side, when we're together, no one can stand against us." Was his reply as he held my arms, he pulled me to him, and pressed his lips to mine, causing tingles to erupt through me, and butterflies to ignite in my stomach, I was already helplessly addicted to him, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

"Yes, but for now, I think we both need a bit of rest, you look like you haven't slept in days." When I said this, it made a thought cross my mind, "Sam, how long have I been gone, exactly?"

"You, don't know? You've been gone for the better part of a week, I knew you were alive, because of our bond, but, I was so terrified I'd lose you at any moment, I-I've, not slept at all." He then pulled me close, and continued, "when I saw you, falling into his arms, my heart sank, I tried desperately to reach you, but he put a force field up that prevented me from doing so, I nearly tore my claws out, then, he was just gone." He then stopped a moment and pulled me closer, "When I realized there was nothing I could do, I-I'm sorry, I snapped, I lost all control, he probably thinks it was my colony who killed Nidhogg, but it was me. I only saw red, and something in me, just wanted to make him suffer, I've never felt so cold, in my life, Sasha."

I felt a tear slip down my cheek at his words, I felt his pain as my own, and I couldn't help but pull him closer, to try to comfort him. "Sam, it's okay, we'll get him, just watch." I reassured him, I then pulled away from him, holding firmly to his hand, and led him to our bed. "Let's lie down, you're exhausted, physically, emotionally, and if you don't rest, you're gonna just shut down, you know it too." I knew he wouldn't normally let me tell him what to do, but my instincts had kicked in, I knew what he needed, even more than he did. He only nodded his head, climbed in beside me, pulling the blankets up on us, and snaked his arm around my waist, pulling me perfectly up against him, we quickly drifted off, into a dreamless sleep. Completely content now that we were finally back together, right where we belonged.
