JERIC'S POV:
"Bilis ng galawang shoti ah?" pang-aasar ko kay Jeron when Lei excused herself for a moment. Halatang halata naman kasi na pinopormahan nya yung pinsan ng kaibigan ko eh.
"Hindi naman ahia. Sadyang mabagal ka lang talaga." This statement coming from my brother earned some laughs coming from my teammates.They know that I'm someone who hides behind my mom's skirt whenever we talk about these kinds of things.
"Ano ba yan mga papi! Lagi nyo na lang binubuli si Jeric pagdating sa love love na yan. Baka mamaya mapikon yan." sabi naman ni Forts. "Yung totoo Forts? Ipinagtatanggol mo ba ako or iniinsulto?" I commented. We all laughed with the thought. "How did you see it coming ba Jeric?"
The fun continued until we realized something. "Teka. Nasan na ba si Lei? Kanina pa yun sa girl's room ah?" worried na tanong ni Aljon. "Oo nga mga paps. Puntahan na kaya natin?" sabi naman ni Kim.
We divided the group into three. Kahit medyo OA tignan since we are all guys, tinuloy pa din namin. Ewan ko ba kung bakit but we suddenly felt na she's always vulnerable. Yung tipong lahat ng gawin nya may possibility na masaktan sya both physically and emotionally.
Si Jeron, Aljon, at saka si Kim, lumabas to check if she bought something from other stores. Ako saka si Forts pumunta ng girl's room tapos yung iba ko pang teammates nagstay lang sa table namin para if ever na nakabalik na si Lei masasabihan kami.
Since iisa lang ang cubicle ng girl's room, kinatok na namin yung door. May iba pa ngang customers na nagulat dahil sa ginagawa namin. "Lei? Are you there?" I asked while still knocking on the door. Normally, the person inside would respond in anyway para malaman na may tao sa loob.
Forts gave me a worried look and I sensed what he's thinking. We approached their manager and Forts started to communicate with her dahil sobrang bangag na ako because of nervousness. "Ah miss, kanina pa po kasi pumunta ng ladies' room yung kasama namin tapos hindi pa din lumalabas hanggang ngayon. Baka pwedeng buksan natin yung door. Wala din kasing nagrresponse sa mga katok namin eh."
Being too considerate, pinagbigyan ng manager ng restau yung hiniling namin. As the door opened, hindi ko na napigilan yung sarili kong hindi mag-panic. "Lei! Wake up!" I was almost screaming at the scene dahil sa nakita kong walang malay si Lei. She looked really pale and she's like lifeless for Pete's sake!
I carried her in my car without even bothering about Forts. All I wanna do is save Lei at this point. I need her. I drove my car rapidly but in a very careful way. When we reached the nearest hospital saka ko na lang kinontact yung mga kasama ko kanina. "We're at St. Francis. I just send her at the emergency room." I ended the call. My heart started to pound like there was no tomorrow. Why am I like this? Why did I say that I need her?
Gulong-gulo pa din ako sa mga iniisip ko when the doctor approached me. "Ikaw ba yung kasama nung patient na kadadala lang dito?" I nodded. "She needs to be admitted for a while so she can rest. She's suffering from great depression and over-fatigue. Kapag hindi sya nagstay dito baka mas lalo lang sya mastress." I said my thanks then the doctor just instructed me what to do. After malipat ni Lei sa isang private room, dumating na din yung mga kasama ko kanina.
"Ahia what happened to Hailey?" Jeron asked. "She's suffering from depression and over-fatigue. That's what the doctor said." I sincerely replied. This is not the time for competition. It's the time for us to show how much we care.
"Depression? May nakkwento ba sya sayo Jeron?" tanong bigla ni Aljon. Jeron just shrugged that indicates that he doesn't know anything about it. Si Forts naman halatang malalim ang iniisip.
"Papi bakit parang balon yang iniisip mo? Ang lalim naman ata masyado." Paulo commented which made Kim chuckle. "I just remember na may family problems sya," sagot ni Forts. Family problems? That's the only time when I realized everything. Nasabi na nga pala sakin ni Red yng tungkol dito? Ang slow ko na talaga since magustuhan ko sya! Argh!!!
"I think it doesn't matter now kung tungkol saan pa yung problema. We should try to make her happy. To somehow ease the pain temporarily or even just a little." Jeron said. I think he's right. Yun din naman yung nasa isip ko and for sure ganun din yung iniisip ng mga Tigers.
I wonder how I'll make her happy. Ayoko pa naman na may ibang nakakapagpangiti sa babaeng gusto ko maliban lang sakin.
