CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN: “LOVE IS MADE”
"Please stay..."
She uttered those words before she could stop herself. She didn’t want him to go. Not tonight. Or rather not this morning. He stopped in his tracks and turned around to face her.
"Please stay" she whispered for the second time.
For a few seconds, he did not move. He just stood there looking at her but to Azania it felt like an eternity. She wrapped her arms around her waist and just as she was about to retreat into her apartment, he finally decided to break the silence.
“Are you sure?”
She simply nodded and held out her hand to him as an invitation. It may seem like a weird question since they have been dating for close to three month, DeAndre never made an attempt to take it there. So she was not sure where exactly this would lead to. Was she ready for the next phase of their relationship? Was she ready for them to make love? In all honesty, he never mentioned anything about love. She was not sure if they were on that level. They have not been dating for that long so she just needed to chill with the whole love thing. The real question that she then needed to ask herself was if she was ready to have sex with this man? She did ask him to stay and that could only mean one thing, right?
He took the hand that she held out to him and followed her back into her apartment.
“So you mean to tell me I got dressed for nothing?” he asked as soon as she led him further into the apartment.
“No, I got to see how extremely sexy you look” Azania replied over her shoulder “and that’s exactly why you can’t go out because I don’t want no one else to lay their eyes on my fountain of sweet dark chocolate.”
She heard him chuckle but her stomach was in knots. The nerves just kept on getting worse with every step they took towards her bedroom.
“So where exactly are you taking your fountain of sweet dark chocolate?” he asked as they walked down the hallway.
She did not respond but just gave him what she hoped looked like a seductive smile and continued their journey. They had finally made it into the sanctuary of her bedroom.
“Lead me not into temptation oh Lawd” she heard DeAndre say behind her.
“Boy ain’t nobody trying to tempt you” she said while finally turning around to face him.
“You sure about that?” he asked and placed his hands on her hips.
“Uh huh” she responded while looking into his eyes and nodding her head.
“Well...why did you invite me to your bedroom?” With every word he said, he took a step forward and she took a step backward until she bumped against the bed behind her.
“To-to-” she stuttered. She couldn’t think straight when he was standing this close to her. “To not seduce you” she faintly replied when her mind could finally manage to construct a sentence.
“To bad” he replied and pulled her tightly into his arms “because I have every intention to seduce you” he continued before his lips came crashing against hers.
Azania was not ready for the wave of emotions that washed over her. She grabbed onto the front of his shirt and allowed herself to be caught up in the rapture. She hungrily latched her lips onto his as she returned every kiss that he gave her with the same fire and intensity. She did not know when or how but between their touching and kissing somehow her t-shirt and sweatpants alongside his shirt and pants ended up in a pile on the floor, leaving them both in just their underwear. She felt her back hit the cold sheets as he laid her on the bed. His lips traveled from her mouth, to her jawline, neck, collarbone and continued its descent downwards, acquainting himself with every inch of her skin in his wake. Her back formed an arch at her attempt to draw closer to his lips. She couldn’t recall the last time she felt this good as she balled whatever amount of her bedsheets she could grab onto between her fingers. Her mind might not have been ready for what was about to happen a few minutes ago but her body was more than ready for what was about to follow.
