ZURI
"Thanks for helping me you guys," I said, smiling at my sister Belle and her boyfriend Jack as I unpacked the last box.
The past week had been challenging, moving in to my new townhouse and unpacking in such a short amount of time. I'd paid the movers to bring in all the stuff, but I didn't bother hiring someone to unpack my things. I would be over their shoulders the entire time; might as well do it myself.
My sister was kind enough to enlist Jack to help out. Looking back now, I wouldn't have finished if they hadn't been here.
"It was our pleasure," my sister said, giving me a hug. "Right, Jack?"
"Of course," he smiled. "Are you sure you don't want to join us for pizza?"
I shook my head, walking them to the door, "you two enjoy yourselves. I'll treat you to a fancy dinner soon as thanks, on me."
"If you insist. Love you, Zuri," Belle told me, giving me a pat on the shoulder.
"Love you, too, Belle."
I waved to them as they went down the sidewalk, smiling hand in hand. I closed the door and put my back against it, a grin replacing my small smile.
I would've jumped at the chance to get pizza on any other day, as it had been over three months since I'd had any.
But, not tonight. I was waiting for someone, but I couldn't tell Belle. Well, I told her there was someone, but I didn't want to reveal who it was. Not until I was certain we were completely committed.

I smiled at myself in the mirror as I smoothed out the imaginary wrinkles in my large brown knitted sweater. Big sweater and high-waisted jeans; perfect for a night in. My makeup was as natural as it could be, basically perfect. I opted for some slightly purple lipstick, which would fade into a pink as the hours went by.
Ding, dong!
My heart pounded as I heard my doorbell ring.
"You look great, you're awesome..." I said to myself. I took in a deep breath, then jogged down the stairs and opened the door.
I swear, my heart almost stopped as I saw him standing there. He was holding a large bouquet of flowers, a box of chocolates, a shopping bag, and a duffel bag with him. Not to mention the sunglasses and fake moustache on his face.
"Hi," I breathed out, smiling.
His eyes roamed over me, a smile coming onto his face, "Hello, gorgeous..."
He walked into the house and put his stuff down. As soon as I closed and locked the door, I was wrapped into a hug from behind me.
"Dave-"
"I missed you, Zee... So much..." he whispered, squeezing me tighter. It didn't hurt, but I could feel the sincerity in his words through his touch.
I turned around to face him, gently peeling off his fake mustache and removing the glasses from his eyes.
"I missed you, too."

"Did that really happen?" I asked Dave, laughing so hard I almost spit out my wine. I didn't mind though, since I wasn't a fan of the flavour. No matter how expensive it was, I got it for Dave.
We were enjoying dinner on my new terrace, as well as a view of a beautiful park nearby and the city lights. I was loving these stories he had from filming Now You See Me 2. The cast sounded really funny, and I couldn't believe some of the things they did behind the scenes.
