The next day, Sherlock walks downstairs, John already typing away on his computer. He rubs his eyes, "Where's Claire?" he didn't see her in her room or out in the living room.
John gestures behind him, "The balconey." he says without looking up. Sherlock nods, opening the door leading out to the small balconey over looking the street below. Claire was standing by the edge, her hands gripping the railing, her grey contacts back in.
"Hi." she says before he could say anything. Her dark hair swayed back over her shoulders from the light breeze, her eyes forward, towards the horizon. He walks over to the railing, beside her, "Hello."
She smiles, "It's beautiful, isn't it?" He looks up at the sky, diffrent colors because of the rising sun. He nods, "Yes."
"Describe it to me." she says. He looks at her, wondering why she would want to know, but he does anyway.
She closes her eyes, imagining what it would look like from his words. She remembered when she was a little girl, she would sit at her window everyday and watch the sun rise, studying the brilliant colors, the illuminating sun light up the towers of the city. His voice seemed to capture everything, ever detail she remembered. She smiles, opening her eyes, knowing she would never see something as beautiful again.
He looks at Claire, he sees her small smile, and he couldn't help but smile himself. Her hand found his by accident, but she slipped her fingers through his, her face still facing the horizon. He glances at her, gripping her hand back, she smiles lightly, savoring his touch.
"We'll get Moriarty, right?" she whispers. He nods, "We'll atleast try." She nods, leaning her head on his shoulder, he glances at her again, the sunlight illuminating her face and features. But he still longed to see those real, bright blue eyes that he had only seen once before.
