Time of the Elves

The Five Earthling Archegina were glad to leave their trivial lives in Medieval Europe and Norway, but astounded to find that their ears, upon entering Thee, were pointed. The first Elves, Archegina from Earth, were born into the Dark Zone's Magic Planet. Most were very surprised to see Elves, a new species alien to the humans of Thee. Kallorah gathered the Fated Ones and the Five, and told them that they were chosen to lead her beloved planet, and keep it safe. She taught them magic, and left each with their own according to their personality.

Yeshon had already mastered his "unknown" magic, Cryokenesis. Navea had Pyromancy and was doing very well with it. The Five, Duach, Vraoa, Eombr, Onolj, and Rogzo, were very afraid of magic, since it was found unholy on Earth, and people were killed for seeming to use magic. Kallorah tried to reassure them that on Thee, they would not be punished. The laws of physics on Thee revolved around magic, after all.

Very reluctantly, they each accepted their new powers. Duach was given the ability to animate nonliving things as she pleased, Vraoa could summon a lightning storm anywhere she wanted, Eombr was able to summon any creature he imagines. Onolj was in charge of Order itself, Rogzo, Chaos. Order and Chaos were dangerous to control, as one could easily mess up the balance of the world. Kallorah kept close contact with these two, and they became, essentially, the first two Keepers of Balance.

She then told the other three of the Five to teach the Fated Ones about snow, something that only happened on Thee when there was an abundance of Dark Magic. "Frozen water; it comes from the heavens every winter," they said.

"Winter?"

There were no seasons on Thee at this time, and the Theean Archegina were confused. The Earthling Archegina try to tell them the best they can, how snow and ice works. But as simple peasants of the medieval period, they weren't quite sure themselves. They tried their best to teach the Fated Ones what snow really was and what it did; they were horrified. Freezing things over, killing plants, sending animals into sleep for months on end...

Kallorah was ready for this, however. She had already newly created seeds that could survive this harsh cold season. "Go, my children. Have the farmers plant these seeds, and take care of Verär and her people. Make their Mana pure again; return them to me, and to our Father." So the Fated Ones and three of the Five traveled across the world, spreading these seeds and trying to save the Verärgera. They did not listen. The Kofiprosid, however, had certainly abandoned the presence of Dark Mana.

Years dragged on. The cold stayed, and the five that set out had grown weary. They returned to their goddess, who gave them her undying motherly love and graciousness. The world was doing alright, thanks to the seeds she gave them, but it would soon die out. The energy being sapped by the darkness was too great. The five she sent had begun a magic school, each teaching their form of magic, along with other mentors from around the world. Yeshon already had two great apprentices before Kallorah decided finally to go herself into the world of magic.

"Young one..." She began, a flash of light and she appeared to Verär, "Why do you do this? Thee is dying... I ask you to stop, please..."

"No. You abandoned us in our time of need!" the manly woman snapped back.

"....I did no such thing. Abandon you? How shall one get what he wants if he does not ask? I was waiting for you to ask for help; you did not. What is my crime?"

"Yeah, right. You saw us then, kneeling in the woods, meditating like fools. You probably turned up your nose and laughed at us," she spat.

"I did no such thing... My daughter, I love you and your people... Why laugh? You tried your hardest without my aid; very respectable. You are strong, but you let hate and greed take over. Please return to your normal ways, learn something from this. Even your Kofiprosid friends have left your clan," Kallorah pleaded. Verär finally gave in, who is to argue with a goddess? The snow stopped spreading. It gradually melted away, with the help of fire mages and good vibes. That was the first, and longest, Moguyu. After that, Thee developed seasons of its own.

Within a year, Yeshon's apprentices were ready to mentor others; well, one of them was. The other was too ambitious, in a bad way. He simply wanted to teach to make others feel inferior. He was named Yukimorte, and he was not chosen to be a teacher, as he had to learn compassion for people and overcome his urge to control them. Yukimorte rebelled against this, and retreated to the Northern Continent, Aquirt'na. From there, he created a lair and launched a dark magic attack on the world, freezing it over again. The second Moguyu, this time it hit each continent one at a time rather than gradually spreading across the globe. The Fated Ones and three of the Five were told to go to every country, gather an army of specialized mages to defeat him. However, a dark cult named Yukinora knew that Moguyu crops were too valuable, and sent a member with the appointed mages. They wanted him to suggest putting him to sleep rather than killing him, so the cold season crops could still be grown and harvested, as their properties were different than most other plants.

The elves first arrived at Yorobi, and named it that because it was frozen over completely. They knew that the rest of the world was frozen as well, but this was the only unnamed continent, so why not name it now? The people living there had already begun to blame eachother for the "curse" bestowed upon them; they were glad to send mages up to defeat Yukimorte. However, some of the Yorobi countries did not have mages, like Seridheim. The elves said that was fine, but Mnomen stepped in, saying they should just stay home and watch everything instead. This began the rivalry between Mnomen and Seridheim.
