New Age of War in Yorobi

As the new continent Yorobi was beginning to get used to having seasons, most of the new colonies were preparing to send mages up to Aqirt'na. The only one who really couldn't do this was Seridheim, the new country founded by Verär. They had no mages, and were told to stay behind and essentially, "Just watch our stuff while we're gone, and don't touch anything."

This went over alright, until Mnomen had released a new discovery; an animal that Seridheim did not have, as it was mostly desert, a naokop. This animal was like an Earth pig, but with a bird's wings. Mnomenite hunters found it in the southern forests, and brought one back dead, another alive. They found the meat to be very fatty and salty, but in some areas still gamey enough to be called decent meat. Soon, the fatty cuts were sliced up and fried in a pan without any oil, as the fat melted to create oil itself. This was known at first as grispla, but as more modern Archegina from Earth came to Thee, they told the people that it is called bacon.

Everyone loves bacon, so the delegate of Seridheim asked for a naokop or two to breed for food. He sent a formal letter, explaining how hard it was for them to find food in the desert because it's too dry to grow anything, and that the Spikents wouldn't help them because of an old grudge. Mnomen's delegate decided not to help, and instead replied that the government of Seridheim needs to make up with the natives if they wished to receive help in their own country, rather than running away from their issues. While most Mnomenites today think it was cold to turn them down, they at least agree that Seridheim was and is being childish by keeping grudges over some advice.

However, refusing to give a pig to their neighbors was not the final straw. What actually set them off was the first princess of Mnomen. She had allegedly tried to sign a peace treaty with Seridheim, if their prince would take her hand in marriage. The only problem with this was that there was no prince of Seridheim...

And that she was already supposed to be betrothed to the Prime Minister of Jorjette's son.

This scandal was later found to be the work of an anarchist group, who forged her signature and sent the letter to the delegate out of lust for chaos. This group was found and eradicated, but Seridheim never forgave Mnomen for what small things the government said and did.

For years, Mnomen and Seridheim were locked in a Cold War. Neither really tried to attack, but if they found any suspicious activity near the border, they would immediately blame the other country. The Mnomen monarchy hired mock-bandits and pirates to capture trade ships and caravans that were headed across the continent, and then apologized, saying they would try their best to catch the group that was raiding the trade route. Seridheim decided to do this as well, but instead of stealing from the caravans, they simply blocked them. They inconvenienced any country trading with Mnomen, and their economies were starting to slow down...

This Cold War continues today on Thee, and Kallorah finds it incredibly stupid. She wants to slap some sense into the Kashers and President Abendroth, but also knows she would have to send someone to do it for her. So she has.
