Mitch and Scott walked along the streets of Japan.
Cherry blossom trees littered the fields and people's yards.
Fluffy clouds floated underneath the baby blue sky with the sun peaking through.
The scent of pastries lingered in the air from nearby cafes and bakeries.
People walked along the sidewalks, everyone had a smile on their face.
So much joy all in one place.
And in that moment, Mitch forgotten everything and was smiling as well.
Scott and Mitch's hands were interlocked as they strolled around the small town.
They approached the center of town, where a lot of people lingered.
Little booths sat on the side of the streets with exotic treats, like crickets on sticks or cotton candy flowers.
Delicious fruit and vegetables waiting to be purchased.
Scott found one booth that wasn't like the others.
A little jewelry booth.
"Mitch, look."
Scott gestured his head to the stand, making Mitch look in the same direction.
"Ooh, you want to go check it out?"
"Yeah, maybe we can get like, matching bracelets or rings or something."
The two men approached the stand, along with a couple other people.
Beautiful selections of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings were laid out.
Some were encrusted with little diamonds and emeralds.
Some even had small opals surrounded in gold.
But there were hand crafted ones.
They had little dragons and meaningful symbols.
Mitch's attention was quickly drawn to them, admiring the handy work.
His eyes scanned the bracelets, with little intricate beads of many colors.
He picked one of them up, admiring the designs on each bead.
Scott looked up from the diamond rings and glared at the bracelet that Mitch was holding.
"Hey, that looks like a neat bracelet," Scott complimented as he walked over.
"Yeah, I like it a lot more than those ones. This has more effort and creativity put into it."
Scott looked to another bracelet of the same design.
His glance danced to his boyfriend and admired Mitch's eyes.
They were filled with such happiness.
And Scott wanted that to stay.
He grabbed an identical bracelet and looked to the woman in charge of the booth.
"Two bracelets please."
