"Wyatt! Mommy's home!" Mitch yelled as he dropped his bags on the couch of their apartment.

"Meow! Meow! Meow!" Wyatt exclaimed, running to his owner.

Scott stumbled in through the door with his heavy suitcase. He might've gotten one too many "souvenirs."

Mitch bent down and picked up his hairless pet, feeling his soft purring against his chest.

Scott groaned with exhaustion and walked into the kitchen for some water.

"Hey kitty...." Mitch whispered while scratching underneath Wyatt's chin.

"Mommy might not come back home tonight, okay? I want you to take care of Scott, and keep him out of trouble. If I do come back though, we can all be together again as a family." Mitch giggled and watched as Wyatt looked up with big eyes.

Sweet, innocent, green eyes.

Mitch felt himself tear up. He might not be able to hold his cat like this ever again.

He lifted Wyatt to his face, "I love you, Wyatt. I'll try to come home in one piece."

Scott walked back into the living room with water and some pain killers for his head ache.

Mitch put down Wyatt and wiped his forming tears away.

"Aw baby, are you sick?" Mitch walked up to Scott and felt his forehead.

"Yeah, I think tonight really got me," Scott chuckled, trying to lighten the mood.

"You should get to bed then, I still got stuff to do," the two started walking towards Scott's room.

"You need to rest too, you know. You can't be doing stuff when it's 11 at night," they walked into the small room, walking into a familiar scent of Scott's cologne.

"I'm just going to unpack our bags, put some stuff in the washing machine, just a couple things and then I'll head to bed."

"Just come sleep with me, we can do that tomorrow morning."

"Honey, you're sick."

The two sat down on Scott's bed, weighing down in the comfort of the mattress.

"Oh yeah..." Scott coughed and lifted his shirt above his head, revealing his toned abs.

Mitch stared with admiration.

He watched as Scott downed his pills with water and laid down in his bed.

"Can I have a good night kiss?" Scott asked in his baby voice, leaving Mitch blushing a harsh red color among his cheeks.

"Of course." Mitch bent down and kissed Scott's forehead.

When he sat back up, he ran his hand through Scott's hair. "I'm so lucky to have you, Scotty."

"I'm so lucky to have you, Mitchy."

Mitch smiled over his doubt. If he tried arguing with Scott, it wouldn't end well.

He could've dated someone much more handsome, nice, loyal, trustworthy, happy.

And he was stuck with him, at least that's what Mitch thought.

"Good night Scott. I love you so so much."

"I love you too Mitch. So, so, so, much."

Mitch turned off the light and walked out of the room to leave his boyfriend to rest.

When he closed the door, he tried his best to hold in his sobs as he walked towards the front door.

And yet, he stopped in his tracks.
