Alex's viewpoint
I held her by the shirt collar between my fingers, as she thrashed around, swinging her small fists and kicking her feet. "Let go of me, you big doof !", she shrieked, hitting my finger with her fists. She wasn't even the size of my finger, which made it even more cute. "Well, you finally decide to throw some attitude.", I laugh and she continues to trash around.
"Well, I suppose I could grant you that wish of being put down.", I chuckle and she shrieks again, "N-no, no, no, no ! I-it's fine ! You can hold me !". She panted as I raised her to eye level with me. "Well, I can't just have bugs stealing my food, now can I ? No, I certainly cannot.", I say and turn her to face me. "H-hey !", she squeaked. "I'm certainly no bug !", she snapped.
"If you say so.", I say jokingly. She continues to grunt and pant as she trashes back and fourth, and I wrap my fingers around her body in a fist, but not a tight one. She grunted in my grip, and just sat there, impatiently tapping her fingers on my pointer finger.
"If you wanted food, you could've just asked.", I said, setting her down on the table, which was about waist level with me. "Well, you were asleep.", she snapped. I turned back around and opened the cabinet, grabbing a bag of apples. I glanced at Autumn as she curiously stared. I grabbed a knife and carefully sliced a tiny piece of an apple off, walking back over to her. I kneel down and put it out for her, holding it between my fingers.
She carefully shuffles forward, and grabs it between her hands, as I let go of it. She nibbles on it, before biting into it and eating more of it. I run my thumb across her head and she continues to eat. I stand again and check the rooms for jack. Nope. Must've left early. To wherever he goes in the morning.
