Shakily, the girl stumbled backwards, and pressed herself against the back of the counter. He stared, puzzled and shocked. Carefully, he reached out to her and she swiftly dodged his enormous hand, running to the side. I didn't know what to say. She was stopped when his hand came around her again, and this time, she couldn't dodge it. He picked her up, and her breathing was fast. It was becoming fast because of fear.
He picked me up in the same hand and he picked us up in a fist, but not a tight one. She pounded her fists against his index finger. He slowly brought us up to about mid chest level with him. He held us close and said softly, "it's okay, I'm not going to hurt you.". It felt like that some reason he had 'experience' with handling such small frames like me and this girl. Her breathing quickened and she thrashed back and fourth. He began walking out, and for a second it made my stomach feel sick, but not after a couple of seconds. The girl grunted and scrunched up, bringing her head low.
He entered his room and carefully closed the door. I think she was.. crying now. At least she sounded like it. He set us on a high part of the book shelf, and stepped back a bit. The girl immediately started to look for a way out. "I'm not going to hurt you.", he said, reaching out with one finger towards her. She stumbled away in fear, and his finger ran across the top of her head. Her breathing slowed, and she looked puzzled. "I'm gonna shower, and change, jack will be home soon.", Alex said and left the room.
