The girl paced back and fourth. "Calm down, everything will be okay.", I reassured her. "Everything will not be okay !", she snapped back. "I'm leaving, and you're either coming with, or not.", she growled. I blinked. Leaving ? I might be able to see my friend again, or come back to everyone ! I got lost in thought. "Are you coming or not ?", she said, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Oh ! Uhm.. I..", "you're coming.", she said, cutting me off. She came to the edge of the book shelf and looked down. I stood by her. She started to walk towards one end of the shelf we were on.
She seemed more calm now. "What's your name, pet ?", she hissed at me. "Why would you call me a pet ?", I ask, my face screwing up. "Because you let him keep you like you are one. I might as well not ask for your name so I can keep calling you pet.", she snapped. Once we reached the other side of the bookshelf, we paused. She hopped onto the thin side, and slid down. There was space between the side and the bottom platform of the shelf, giving room to do so.
I followed after her, rather awkwardly. I slid down so fast and I crashed into her. She grunted and grabbed me by the wrist, dragging me towards the door. I wonder if we really were gonna escape.
